I've been playing around a lot with livecasting and streaming video solutions and decided to fashion my own custom webcam to take around with me. Here's a prototype I just put together made with a camera tripod and a Logitech Orbit Webcam.

A cool thing is if I run it off a PC, it can track faces an the eye actually spins around automatically. Kind of scary now that I think about it.

I still want to make it nicer. maybe add some arms so it can hold things for me and I need to figure out how to hold it stable if I perch it on my shoulder when I am moving around. Any suggestions? How would you mod this robot webcam? I also need a good name.

Robocop suddenly sprung to my mind when reading this. Perhaps it could be Robocam. It just doesn't have any... human parts.

As long as this thing doesn't go on a "Killing Spree!", become "God Like" and start a "Massacre!" :P

it sure looks good, but i gotta tell you there already exist some cameras for that purpose , you can wear them like if they were glasses. apart from that i would try a parrot-like design and would make a pirate costume too for it XD its a good idea thou!
