With Christmas Day being a normal work day here in Japan, I know a few people who are choosing to hold their celebrations today (Boxing Day Saturday) instead - ourselves included. We'll be heading round to *Twinkle's* family home about 30 mins north of Tokyo later today for a Christmas feast.
An important part of any traditional Christmas dinner is the roast vegees, and how about this for an impressive carrot?! It's about two foot long!
You'll often find Extreme Fruit and Veg in local shops. Seems to be something that Japanese growers are particularly good at.
Back home, dad grows most of the Christmas dinner veg himself. He's also pretty good at growing extreme carrots, although that's not by design... and they often turn out pornographic.
Anyone else grow their own food for Christmas?
