Spent a few hours in Harajuku this afternoon. First stop was a little underground studio with a voice actor recording some tracks for a new CD to help Japanese language learners with their studies.

Unfortunately I got the giggles at one point, and had to desperately try to avoid making eye contact with our voice actor who was also on the edge of fits of laughter.

After that we took a walk through the backstreets of Harajuku, with their huge array of little shops selling many of the weird and wonderful fashions that young girls in Japan are known for making heads turn with. Must go back there with my camera - it's an area of Tokyo I've never really explored.

At the end of our trail was the scene you see above. The room was barely bigger than what you see in the photo.

it was an art installation. I wasn't sure what to make of it. Although for some reason it reminded me of England.

Next stop was a little gyoza (Chinese dumplings) restaurant - apparently one of Harajuku's best eateries - that was real good, light but filling.

Finally, caught a cab back to the office. The driver was in a bad mood and called us stupid foreigners when he got lost. I used my iPhone's GPS to take charge and get us there. He stopped complaining and just drove.

After a brief rest and check of emails, we were back in a cab and headed for the new cafe / art space 'M' in Daikanyama for a birthday party. A lot of well known creative / media folks there.

I love this kind of variety that a city like Tokyo can provide. It's like a fairground.

Also, meeting a lot of creative people doing what they love reaffirms for me that the only thing between you and your desired occupation or goal, is you. You've got to throw away all of your excuses, and Just Do It.
