I'm back in my second home - the Apple Store. Having changed jobs Shibuya is my new local, being just about ten minutes from the office.

I don't know what it is with me and Macs, but only a few weeks after a logic board replacement I'm back for more serious repairs - my hard drive has died. Unfortunately for the last three days I've not done a backup, so there'll be a wee bit of data loss.

I've had a fair few hard drives due on me in the last few years, so have become a compulsive backup freak - this time I got a bit lazy as I've been so busy in the daytimes with my job.

There's good news though - 30 mins after entering the store I'm walking out with a FREE hardware upgrade: they didn't have any 300GB drives so have given me an ugrade to a 500GB model.

Needless to say I'm a happy boy!

Have you ever had a hard drive fail on you?
