Now I'm here in Harajuku at Takeshita Street. If there is a list of "cool" places in Japan, Takeshita Street would certainly be at the top.
Well known as the incubation spot for the cool, new trends, Takeshita Street is where loli fashion made it big and cosplay on the street became a common thing.
You can also find lots of shops with idol photos, records, and other things required by the super hip.
What kind of fashion do you like? Brand name designer, grunge, cosplay maid, military otaku, Harajuku girl? (I'm afraid I fall into the college jersey slob category most of the time) -_-;

I think I'm a bit brand name/grunge with a touch of skate,.... It's a mess I know, but I mostly wear whatever I like.

I love that place, must go there.
Fashion is out of my interests, I just don't go naked and that's enough ;)

I'm more of a designer vintage and goes for classic style most of the time. I wish I could visit takeshite street again.

Lol, whats your style? Didn't expect that question when I logged into DC.com today :D
I started ordering my T's online, mostly random, independent up and coming designers with cool designs. springleap is a good place to start, though there are a lot more sites if you look around.

I always go there when I'm on vacation in Tokyo because I visit Meiji Shrine first. Nothing like having a tasty crepe while you are walking down the street with the crowd.

Hehe didn't see that the first time "What's your style?"
Well I'm a goth kinda person, but not to the extent that I have all the buckles, chains and those rocker-boots. I'm not a huge fan of coats either.
I usually buy designer products online. Most of the stuff you see in shops here is too mainstream for me.
student
wow, crowded street XD
usually am just a slob, oversized clothes and flipflops the way to go here in singapore =D kinda like a overly slack chinese homie? =X
Ha!
This one took my attention because
- I love Harajuku and Takeshita St is definitely a cool place to go when visiting Tokyo
- I have a friend by the name of Takeshita. Funny thing is his company uses people's last name as their e-mail address but only limit to max of 8 characters. So, his e-mail is takeshit@<someplace>.com. First time I saw it, I thought it was a joke. Later they change the format but the username takeshit is still works today!

I fall in a mix between grungy and designer clothes. I often find myself shopping at a skater store and 20 minutes later at nordstroms or abercrombie

If I had the money for it? OTOKOYAKU style! Go ye forth and look up the Takarazuka kagekidan and check out those wonderful casual fashions worn by the male-role actresses!
I also wish I had the werewithal to wear Ōji (王子) or Ōji-sama (王子様) style, the MALE version of Lolita wear.
But I have to content myself with good jeans and a wide variety of tops, and an assortment of black skirts and formal gear for when I'm at work.

Loved the crowds and loved the 'No Smorking, No Touting' Banners all the way down the Street. Plus its the only McDonalds Ive been in where (as a guy),you had to line up for the toilet and to think about it, it was a pigsty as well! (very un-Japanese!)
Think that's crowded?...try going a couple of blocks to the right and walking down the main road (cant remember its name)...now that was crowded!! (esp. on a Sunday)

The Lolita and Miyavi type, or just loads of colourful crazy layered style mixed together...
I know these type of Japanese street-style has been criticized alot by the west, (saying it's clashy and don't match) but I personally think it's good to be experimental, and not just sticking to one-piece black 24/7 :)

Hmm... fashion... I usually like to go for a simple, elegant look. Doesn't matter what brand. But I really love lolita style as well.

I don't really have a fashion... maybe modern... but modest? I don't know, I wouldn't mind picking up some new clothes from Japan though. I also like the sound of hitting up the record stores! No pun intended.
