Caught out in the rain? Even worse - caught out in the rain without
100 yen to get one of those plastic see-through brolleys?
Dont fret - you are in Japan. If you are in this situation then look
around a shotengai (shopping district) where occasionally you will see
a bunch of brolleys hung up like this for a fellow citizen to use.
These brolleys are hanging on a sign in the middle of the walk way
which usually means that you can just take one. The ones left outside
a shop or restaurant belong to somebody inside so leave those ones
alone ^^;
Folks in the UK and Japan usually carry a brolley about when its due
to rain but when I was in Seattle, hardly anybody carried one around -
same in your neck of the woods?
