    I'll probably get flamed for this but... Otakus have a "green" lifestyle?

    I can see that for cosplaying and photography otakus but, I don't for the ones that have a huge range of gadgets that go out-of-date in no time before they're replaced, leave computers with huge PSU supplies running all day downloading torrents and then gaming when they're not etc.

      I was thinking the same thing. All kinds of gadgets and computers running 24/7 sucking up tons of electricity.. Drinking soda and energy drinks all the time, and Im sure not all of us recycle..

      I mean.. Im sure we're not a whole lot worse than the general public, but saving the world might be pushing it. xD

    Green lifestyle, it will not be easy but its a start. Using recycle paper for packaging, better packaging design....etc and hopefully bring the price down ^^;

    Well, what does 'green' got to do with being an otaku? I don't really see why it must be specified to being an Otaku as I'm very sure just another person can do the same thing. Its like asking how a stamp-collector can save the earth with their green lifestyle...^^

        Well, I agree how it's all too easy to pin bad things on groups of people who have a bad stereotype because the bad image is already there - Half the audience probably wouldn't even think about whether what they're being told is true or not.

        However, if you look at some of the Otacool rooms and blogs (no offence people), otakus can probably be considered greater consumers than the average person which in turn, also generates more waste too as their demand fuels companies to supply more.

        So, why not try to convince otakus to reduce their consumption of which maybe say, twice or three times than that of an average person?

          Now what kind of lifestyle would that suggest, having one to have at least twice of the consumption than a mere commoner ?

    I'm looking forward to your interview Danny but I prefer the luxurious boxes, the plastic trays, the diecast metal, the vinyl parts and of course the fresh sensual fragrance of brand new vinyl when I open the box. Sniff, sniff, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
