If you've had a ¥10,000 note in your wallet, you'll probably recognize this great samurai. The ¥10,000 note affectionally referred to as "Yukichi" bears the portrait of
Yukichi Fukuzawa. So if you have 3 "Yukichi-s" in your wallet or purse, you have ¥30,000. ^^.
Yukichi Fukuzawa is regarded as one of the founding fathers of modern Japan. In his lifetime, he was many things. If you're planning on studying in Japan and undecided on which university to apply for, why not take a look at Keio University? After all, how many universities in the world have their founder imprinted on the largest local currency denominator. ^^.
