Late night shopping Japan

Boy oh Boy does this look good! Not just the sushi, pizza and bananas, but the half-price (半額 'hangaku') stickers too!

I was very lucky tonight, arriving at the very moment the shop staff started putting the half-price stickers on the packets and shouting about it. Within a few minutes the whole lot was gone.

I hope the sushi will be fresh enough to have as a bento box for lunch tomorrow.

I don't normally eat pizza because it's full of fat, but I think I need some calories.

Why? Well, not only have I been jogging every day for the past 3 days, but also today was 体育の日 (Taiiku no Hi - Health and Sports day), a national holiday, and I've seen so many people doing sports that I feel absolutely knackered! ^^

Do you go late-night shopping for bargain food? What's the best bargain you've ever got?

Joseph

    Best bargain?
I don't remember any good bargains really. Late-night... stores close which means no food. :D Of course, I could always opt for the gas station, but their food isn't exactly cheap.
Wal-mart all the way (for those of you who live in the US)

Here they just leave the food out to the next day. When buying packaged stuff like this you have to be really careful to check the date it was put out!

I usually don't shop for food at night. And you're a really lucky guy, you bought all these things at low price.

Despite the fact that we also do have the so called "24-hour convenience store". We don't have stuff up to that. Kinda envious but then again, as long as i can have my late night ice coffee on that shop i guess it meets the demands.
