Halloween in Japan

It's that time of year again - the Halloween decorations have gone up at the office!

If you head out into any shopping mall this weekend you won't be able to avoid the plastic pumpkins, comedy glasses, and orange wigs.

I saw on the train this morning that the Halloween special is about to start at Disneyland, and there's Halloween parties advertised in the press.

I'm going to start looking out for pumpkins too, so we can stick one in our window and scare the pigeons away.

I wonder when Halloween was first celebrated in Japan - it's not a traditional festival after all. Also I was wondering if Halloween is now an international thing?
