Heading out for the day. Waiting here on the Shibuya station platform for the Yamanote train. It's a lot quieter today than normal thanks to the Holidays at the moment. The Yamanote Line is currently celebrating 100 years since it's naming. The Yamanote Line is the central loop line in Tokyo which connects with most major stations including Tokyo, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Shibuya. It takes just under 1 hour to travel the complete loop. The line was created out of the Toshima Line and Shinagawa Line and renamed Yamamote 100 years ago. It also went under the name Yamate for sometime, but has now been officialy standardized as Yamamote. Although many stations connect with othe lines each has a designated home line that it belongs to. Does anyone know which station on the Yamanote Line is officially designated as part of a different Line to the Yananote?
