    Very unique plot.
I guess I'd appreciate more if I watched it today... I think I wasn't quite prepared for the parodies and randomness, as I had just started watching anime and wasn't a complete otaku just yet. :P

I watched it a year or two ago and didn't really enjoy it. Occasionally it had moments of brilliance, but I found that for the most part the writing didn't flow properly and it couldn't seem to achieve a good balance of comedy and drama, nor focus just on one of them.

Watched it about 6 years ago. Don't really remember it much, if at all. I do remember being like "need moar" when it ended and was disappointed with just a movie. Might have to give it a rewatch sometime. This anime was actually the subject of an anime conversation I had not too long ago too. Told myself I was gonna rewatch it back than as well. Guess I need to go make good on that.

Nadesico is still one of my favourite sci-fi anime... The characters, the puns and last but not least Ruri make this anime one true classic, a must watch for everyone.
...And I'm still asking myself what the mahjong episode was about...

I saw the series, a peculiar mix of fun, intrigue politics and love. One needs to watch the whole series to understand it. Read that one need needs to watch the special OVA Genkiganger to fully understand Nadesico movie. Which is more linear, darker and easier to understand, and in my opinion cooler. ;)
But... why are they using such an old anime. =/ Not that I'm disrespectful but baka baka. =P

Old school. Nice. I loved that series. Quite funny. And Ruri is always awesome. Plus, a whole society based off of a cheesy, stereotypical, old school robot anime? That's good for a few giggles. Then came the movie which was just...really different and I'm still not sure how I feel about it after all this time.
