Came to Haneda Airport for lunch to use up some JAL air miles before the expected announcement that Japan Airlines is bankrupt. Since lunch is on JAL I am dining at Kihachi, very nice restaurant with great food. Over the years I have amassed quite a few points,although some seem to have lapsed automatically when I wasn't watching. Had almost 700,000 mileage points last year but not quite as many now. Still enough for a few more free lunches before JAL goes bust and the shareholders get nothing. I am expecting the Government to take back the airline that they sold to the public and revitalize it. They will have to hurry, the international terminal is due to open at Haneda in Oct this year.
