Whats your verdict? Still getting her?
Kinda disappointed that her armor is not as shiny as when we saw her back at the last Wonder Festival.

I dunno if it's the paint but it seems like she doesn't radiate the same vibe. The sword is still mighty killer though. Chicks with swords cant go wrong so I'll still cop her

For once I thought that this is a totally different figure from the one shown at Wonder fest. Was hoping to preorder mine but hesitated. Oh..wouldnt it be good if it still comes with the shiny armor.

Wonder whats their reasons for changing. Production cost perhaps?

Most likely. That's what happened to the Transformers where Optimus' front grills are dull grey instead of the expected chrome.

This is what I was thinking too. Most things seem downgraded. Washed-up painting style, cheap-looking armor (Guess metal was too expensive for mass production?), etc., thus a rather less impressive figure in those departments.

The positive points is her face. Just look at her eyes (the upper ones). This is a rather nice pose too when you think of it. She really seems to invite the enemy to go first and counter at any moment.

Lost of the reflective and darker chrome color...doesn't make claymores scary anymore. Seriously, I think I can mistaken her for the white knight in a fairy tale. The color is definitely aluminum. How exactly is that suppose to protect them? Damn, I was looking forward to this one too...

Ken, you shouldn't mock the power of fantasy worlds'/RPGs' aluminum. I'm sure it's so rare, strong and expensive it is nowhere to be found. But the smart figure designers of this figure found a way to coat her armor with it!
Wooooooooooooow~!! ;)
(If some of you didn't get it, read again and try harder)

I read it five times, all I got was the "WHOOOOOOOOOO!" part.

Honestly, dont want. Looks like a disney character with blood shot eyes. Like Cinderella after she clam baked her pumpkin. Wow.. damn that sounds dirty.

I pre-ordered mine month ago, to be honest, the figure doesn't impress me, but I just love claymore, its plot and all the character development. I am disappointed that the armor isn't as shinny as it is on WF, but oh well. It's be awesome if it is cast off hehe

In the other photos the armour looks like 'real' polished metal, this however looks like painted plastic =P

I was hoping to get this but the armor isn't as impressive like everyone says.
This looks too plastic...

I agree. The old armor looked too yellowy, this matches better.

The face bugs me. No clue why :(
For the armor you could use Alclad Chrome. That would give it a nice and shiny color ^^
The figure needs a retouch anyway -> the hair's a mess!

I actually like the retail version's paint more than the prototype's. Before the armor looked like cheap vac-metal, though it could've used more weathering.

Love the face, the eyes are expressive and it totally exudes Claire's personality.

Yea... This Claire doesn't have the same cool " I have a sword and won't hesitate to kill you vibe"... The armor doesn't look as metallic and cool looking as the other one... But I like the expression on her face, a different feel from when her eyes turns golden in colour...

I wouldn't be surprised to see resin casts of this figure available fairly rapidly. Then you could get a much nicer overall paint job, including chromed armor.

Was almost shaking when I saw her at WF. - She was just so exquisit. Now... well I have no idea why they would make her look so "platic" compared to the WF one. Really a shame. I hope they make a better one soone...

well, the massive seam line on the hair is still present and her boobies look rather odd at certain angles, like they're just half a coconut stuffed onto her chest...

wan't really interested before so there's no change in me on this figure.

I think that grey background doesn't help... but in the pictures posted at hobbysearch Clare looks really cool, It obviously lacks the shiny effect that the prototype had, but still looks good IMO. I'm still getting it...

Just got mine today, not as reflective as the original. But it shines a lot more than the picure in this post. I think the silver suits her better than the chrome.

Just got mine. Very happy with it. While I would have like a more shinny armor what they did works fine. Tons of pics up at my blog later today.
