Was looking for this CM on YouTube since it started to show on TV recently but couldnt find it - thanks to member ChiisaiRamen, I don't need to look for it anymore. I'm sure that is one of the popular maids in Akiba but I dont know her name - can anybody help name her? Moe Moe!
ROFLMAO! I'm amazed Tommy Lee Jones agreed in doing this ^^ He's been one of my fave actors. He's just too damn funny in this commercial, Hahaha...
Epic ;p and very kawaii maido-chan ^^;
lol~ common response for someone who dont know what moe is~ I have the same problem last time where I go to a maid cafe in Taiwan with some relative who know nothing about moe~ They felt very uncomfortable of being call "master"~ (=___=) why there is no maid cafe in London~I'm dried here~
The look on Tommy Lee Jones face is priceless especially after that meido lost to janken...I need to know where this maid cafe is and who that maid is, she's absolutely moelicious.
Tommy Lee Jones, the king of Poker face.
hah! I posted this on the otavids link just a while earlier after I saw it elsewhere. I agree that Tommmy Lee Jones facial expressions made the ad. Similar to his role in MiB where he was simply not allowed to laugh and treat everything as normal. And I'm sure they put in some artificial blush on there at the end, although youtube makes it hard to be sure.
Yikes - sorry I missed it ToT. Will check the Otavids more often ^^;
Hahaha. Damn, that is hilarious. See the look on his face? That's priceless. It's as if he's thinking (What the hell is going on?!) Nice one. And cute maid.
why does this remind me of lost in translation?
hmm~ same feeling here~
i 2nd that... 'tis a weird feeling...
Hmm - maybe because its some boring Hollywood actor "not being impressed" by Japan / Japanese culture. I personally hated Lost In Translation, I thought it was one of the worst films I've ever seen.
I wouldn't say "worst", but it tried to overutilize the backdrop of Japan and "two souls finding their way to each other while embracing a strange and unique culture" way too much. It really tried to shoehorn that last part into the film too much, and it ended up coming off as like a state of borderline depression/xenophobia or something. If you analyze the characters, they both seem like if you put them into any other cultural situation, or even their own cultures that they'd end up being just as mundane as they are in Japan. I think that's what really works against the film being any real degree of good. But hey, you get to see Scarlett Johansson's ass in see-thru panties in the first minute of the film, so it's an adequate tradeoff, lol.
Well, I think it's an overreaction to say the WORST film. I liked it because it communicates very well the characters feelings, it gives you that sensation of being lost. The movie is about different cultures, nit about Japanese culture being bad or something.
Saw this on Gizmodo few hours ago. Great stuff. I specially loved when he blushed on the MOE part. XD
seconded. though i guess the real tommy Lee Jones would never blush.
Tommy lee jones eat and take a bite by a maid??Its a commercial or a some free time...T.L.J ur the man...
its a commercial for boss coffee i believe, though i fail to make the connection between TLJ, moe and coffee
its japan after all, perfectly ok to not make any sense at all
LOL!!
Those are part of the "I am Boss" CM series. I remember seeing those hueg advertisements on the trains in Tokyo.
that is AWSOME ! i bet his first time in japan was great. i hope he does a movie there [.[
That's the most awesome BOSS Coffee ad ever... Full of awesome win orz
damn! not even MIB couldn't resist to the lovely maid ^^
That was Awesome - after seeing this i checked out the other 11 ads on youtube. bwahahahahahahaha.
I love Tommy Lee Jones' expressions!
Haven't watched any of his movie so Tommy Lee Jones is pretty much an unknown person to me. >_< In fact I don't watch western movies that much. ^^
Tommy Lee Jones is really the Boss! Great video.
http://www.japander.com/ These still take top prize for me. But this one's awesome too.
Too cool for school! Mr Jones is tha man!
Hahahaha ah man these commercials just made my night. You're the Boss Tommy Lee Jones!!
Tommy Lee Jones has it all, money, looks(LOL I bet I'll look a some zombie at his age...) and now a maid...
LMAO XD but when he was being fed by the maid i think his first expression was "ok... wtf is this, is this how japanese maids say hello"
despite this, i still respect him as an actor. goes to show how comfortable he in his own skin. he went all the way that is why it did not blow up in his face... love his expression!!!!
Tommy Lee Jones = otaku! Superfunny commercial
Every time I visit Japan, I get to see new Suntory Boss Coffee CM with different contents starting Tommy Lee Jones! This one is most hillarious of all, moe moe!!!
gotta love tommy lee jones. that dry "i'm so weary and don't know what the f you want from me, but i'll smile just in case" attitude from the ad is just great. although i didn't really liked his acting in MiB, i do so in other movies he's been in which i cannot mention since i don't know the english original name. does that make sense? ^^'
This if my favorite one. XD http://youtube.com/watch?v=g5Nj2aL_UCM
萌! ('~')
Her name is Sakuragawa Himeko(桜川ひめこ). Please refer to the following links. http://www.skd7.com/ http://www.marvelyell.net/himeme/
actually my friend who saw it did some research and pointed out the maid's name is Ako Haduki (葉月あこ) ^_^
P.S. Danny, Let's have a Maid cafe off-Kai!(^^)
Tommy Lee Jones plays a extra-terrestrial right? judging from the words shown on the CM. ('~')
this CM is totally EPIC!!! XDDD
Lol, Tommy Lee Jones is awesome at looking completely bored and normal in any situation. And that maid... I didn't think I'd ever say this, but she acts too cute, it's kinda like eating a spoonful of pure sugar, drenched in syrup.
looool tommy lee jones in a japanese tv pub with maidsan:p:p:p
I wonder if he buyed anything in Akiba XP
OMG.......
i sae this earlier, it's now onw of my favorite commercials. His other boss commercials are pretty funny too.
lololololololololololo~~~ his facial expression is SO F&^#ING FUNNY~~~ HAHAHHAHHAHAHA~~~~~~
I've said it since the first time I was in Japan in the mid 90's and saw mel gibson on a Subaru billboard in a station (before I knew how naziriffic and insane he was): they must give these american celebs truckloads of cash. I cannot even imagine that half of the celebrities that do Japanese commercials have any interest in Japan whatsoever. Some of my favorites were always the commercials that Bruce Willis did for the gas chain Eneos in the early 2000's, those were priceless. "Move You" was the slogan, and he was outfitted like a Ghostbuster of gasoline.
OMG! That's too funny. I always like Tommy Lee Jones's poker face look. Just so funny.
