Nice article! Coffee is getting more and more popular in Japan. If you're still looking for a place to get good coffee beans, check out this coffee map map.abccoffee.co. It ranks good coffee shops in Japan according to Instagram. You can find one near you.
Selamat Datang, Danny. I have to say, your blog and life journey really inspires me.
I can't choose between this trio... Rin is so cute, but Makoto is adorable, and Haru is just such a wonderful (swimming) dork.
So , what I use materials that can be as big as a projector screen
Ah yes, perfect place to be obliterated by diabetes and sweetness!
"Children, feed me your trash."
Books and books everywhere! My kind of heaven!
Such an interesting name. I think it's rather creative that someone chose "Mozart" as bakery name instead of musical one. Perhaps this is a reference to Austrian sweet delicacy.
Is it normal to just walk around with green afro wig in Japan? Very interesting-looking, nevertheless!
This is rather interesting. People usually shy away from smoke. The only moment I know has someone waving smoke towards themselves is when I cook and my brother want to smell the food's aroma.
That's a cute and rather small bow... well, compared to the one I used back at school, where one has to run few laps before using it.
Is it strange that I really want to taste the blue one? Or perhaps the blue and pink one. That aside, I'm a big banana fan; banana smoothie, banana milk, and real banana. I will nom them all.
Wahhh! So awesome!
I want all the egg ones! They are all so adorable.
Look at this strange bunny-like and bread-like creature. It looks so confused. I want ten of it.
Such a beautiful and memorable sign!
I play tons of instruments because of extracurricular activities throughout my school year, except high school. But if there's one instrument I still play and love, it would be guitar from my classic guitar lesson. I used to play ensemble in group, though, so playing by myself now feels a little lonely.
Cool shop front! It will be very easy for customer to remember and recognise the shop.
This reminds me of Nakajima from RAVE, LOL. Only less creepy.
Such a cute sign!
"I have no idea what im doing".
Japanese schools seems so nice :3
When will Eijiclock appears? :3 it will be awesome!
Pretty doll princesses!
Look at dem tiny boots.
Wahhh this is such an adorable combination.
Summer attires! So adorable!
So lovely! I am sure I will get one of this if I were to own a doll.
I'm not a big fan of this type of bags myself, but they sure are lovely; both on real people and tiny dolls!
This is a nice one.
What a beautiful Sakura ;3
Is that Jun? Yes, my kind of Ikemen.
Anpanman aired for sometime when I was a very young child in Indonesia. I remembered the happy-looking face.
"Please kill me." LOL, they are actually rather cute! I'd like to have some so I can gaze at them when I'm bored or tired.
Very interesting packaging.
This is so adorable! I'll take three.
Such a lovely-looking design! I love how it says 'fruity salad', like it's a salad made out of fruits instead of 'juice', 'smoothie', or other similar terms.
That looks so neat! It's interesting to know the process, in case one day I will get a job on thorough branding of a company, including for companies' vehicle.
Love the outfit!
Can someone elaborate me on why these things are very expensive? Is it the detailed craftsmanship? The component?
Oh God, I want him, I want him, I want him! If there are dolls from anime, I would like it very much if I can get some from animes like Shingeki no Kyojin, Hetalia, or Free!
A Kanata Smart Doll soon?
I'll take the frog one, please.
I need at least a dozen of these.
These bentos are so cute! I wish I can own at least one.
I'm obsessed with discrete mathematics, quantum physics, quantitative finance, and anime.
Well, from my experience, we really need more of all 3 of those positions lol :D my high school's science/math teacher retention rate was like 2 yrs max. D: there was more funding for English and history stuff in Utah at least......... >.>;;;
That is amazing. :D
Do the endorsements mean you can teach both subjects? :)
Nice! What are you studying?
I graduated already but am still in the area hehe. Can't believe how fast time flies..
wat you're in CO now? i'm in MA... D:
Aw Danny. :3 I just wanted to say congratulations on everything you've done. Hiring employees is no small deal, and it could take startups years before having the capacity to expand. Your brand and business have grown enormously since the first time I stepped foot into your blog. I was an angry middle school kid back then lol. I'm working on a startup now, but in a very different field - a lot of it was due to your advice - to pursue something you enjoy, to go for the things that distract you. The boring stereotypical corporate life is a nightmare and needs a massive makeover - 120 hours per week, 7 days a week, 0 work life balance. Being a kaishain in finance in Tokyo was a huge eye-opener, and I'm thankful to be out of there lol. I doubt you'll see this but have a wonderful summer and best of luck with the recruitment process!! May the best applicant(s) win!
there's like.. men wearing yukata with blonde hair selling death metal-type clothing with jazz music in the background in this building :D
my eye doctor is somewhere down yonder :D
waa character pants? yee!
Thank you so much for this post, Danny! ^^
I'm going to Japan next week for a summer internship and will definitely check out your guides and recommendations to get the most out of living in Japan. I'm really excited because my work is in Chiyoda-ku, close to Akihabara! So excited and nervous. Yeeee.
I haven't graduated from college yet but am working in Japan in a month. If you have the skills, they'll still somehow hire you. Some companies help out with the visa process. In addition, if you're currently in school but haven't graduated yet, the school can help you obtain your visa as well.
I have a lot of issues with Cool Japan, not gonna lie. But soft power is what it is. Part of the reason I care and want to work in Japan is so that I can help women have more of an academic/technological/entrepreneurship role in the industry.
Yay no more bugs in my face! Aha...
Glad to hear you're doing well Danny. :)
On another note, the Japanese I class at my school, which is "easy"（ハーバードに比べるMITの言語/人文科学の授業は優しいかもしれない）, had us memorize all katakana and hiragana in two days. 日本語１を取った時、早く覚えなくちゃ行けないから、とても大変だった。
I agree with you! But!
But i think that's kind of what they're aiming for.. something crazy, something to spark controversy and that "Wtf just happened" type of reaction. I mean, it's another boring mainstream car - and what better way to cry for attention than a high pitched screaming virtual idol coming out of a car singing 世界で一番の姫様 ...
Risky marketing strategy but it makes sense.
Ehe he he

There's also a PE requirement here, in which regular archery is among the options.. we have really unique PE courses here, from figure skating to pistol to fencing heeee :)
LIKE A BOSS.
So legit, Chun. :)
My car is shittastic but at least it has eyelashes. :)
A lot of those snacks are pretty healthy though, if not in smaller proportions.. :)
Idk why but all of the Japanese people i've hosted dislike sweets.. they've grown up with healthy snacks rather than, say, the double chocolate Milanos i'm eating right now at 3AM which are ~100 calories/cookie. FML
