Many of you have uploaded pics of your room already so I thought it would be nice to look at each others desktop and recommended applications.
You will find a new tag "yourdesktop" when you upload an image - I will add this tag to the pull down menus soon (which I am in the middle of fixing so that they dont pop upwards).
This is my current desktop for my main monitor - the Macbook is used to show terminal windows.
Here you see a terminal window open which I use to run cronjobs (automated server tasks) and debug stuff.
Also have Little Snitch which warns me when some application is trying to connect to the internet which you can allow forever, allow once, block forever etc. Here I am using it to monitor the calls I'm making to Amazons API.
I have Firefox open all the time although it hogs memory so I need to restart it once a day. Here you see in Firefox my next project - launch this week I hope.
The stack of icons you see slanting to the side is "stacks" built into MacOS.
My Dock is set to not magnify and is always showing. Use Parallels to run windows apps if I need them - mainly for QA.
Wallpaper this week is Haruka-chan ^^;
Apps I use everyday are Coda for coding, CocoaMysql for database work, Transmission for downloading opensource movies, VLC for watching media files and other bits n pieces but these are the main ones. What is you be using all the time?
Looking forward to seeing your desktop ^^ (and dont forget to tag it "yourdesktop").
UPDATE: Dont forget (if possible) to give a link for your wallpaper source if possible for your comrade and feel free to post a link to your post in the comments here when you are done.
