If you are fed up with maid or butler cafes then how about a kigurumi cafe?
Aokaetei Cafe opened for a single day last year and due to popular demand they are back - for another single day on the 6th of Feb. If you are in Akihabara and fancy being served by one of these cuties then get along to the location below in Akihabara.

This waitress is the lovely Chikane.

Kigurumi [着ぐるみ] is the word to describe a costume which covers the whole body including the head.

This is the adorable Ami.

There is one thing you need to bear in mind though - the kugurumi girls don't talk. You are allowed to talk to them but they wont talk back. The Aoikazetei Cafe has a bell boy in the hall to help you communicate with the kigurumi when you are not sure what she means when she starts to point at you.

This is the cute Chiffon.

Some kigurumi action below. Which makes me wonder why there are no kigurumi submissions for Otacool2 ^^;

This green haired girl is Mai-chan.

Bubbly Mutsumi-chan.

How about being served a cuppa by Suzu-chan?

Lovely Uri-chan desu.
Which is your fave kigurumi?
