and some people are also greatly creative.
Very creative but all insects are died...
I do not like things that can jump faster than my eyes can follow. Grasshoppers are a nightmare for me.
Agreed as well. ^_^;
May their souls rest in peace.
That man is great but poor insects, 20000 of them died to make a statue with their corpses *_*
escaped?! @_@ u better stick to plastic toys hahahahh :PP big spiders and scorps are mostly all right to handle. it's the tiny ones that freak me out cos they're so deadly, and they move so quick. one mistake and u're gone T_T
I had a tarantula once that I bought because larger spiders freaked me out.My logic was that if I owned a giant spider I would get over it...well it didn't work. I had a pair of Iguanas for some times also, but they were too skittish, and they escaped!
Cool, creative and discusting!
The only one I really can't stand are roaches. It has to do with how big they are and how when you step on them they splat. The flying ones I saw in the Philippines were the worst. I vividly remember being a kid and running around screaming with other kids as it flew around, practically chasing us.
Wow that's... amazing in it's right but also a very, very creepy choice for sculpture materials o_o;;
I had to show this to my co-workers who were all female just to see their reaction XD
Because I have an aversion to insects, I can't really look at the creativity and talent that went behind that piece. Well, I really like it, but it doesn't give me warm and fuzzy feelings inside.
I HATE BUGS!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT WANT!!!
A total lost for words...
I think that is pretty sweet. the only bugs that bother me are ones that can sting me, kill me, or are roaches. I like the old man's idea about the bugs getting to rest in peace by being made into a buddha ^^ I also noticed that towards the end of the video, a familiar music was played. I think I heard it in Inuyasha quite a few times ^_^
well thats interesting O.O not really sure what else to say about something like that =p
truly amazing...!! unbelievable..
creepy but at the same time amazing!
I wonder how may insects had been used as material for that Buddha statue~~~~~
I dislike insect that can fly ^^;
I Dont know what to say Good Idea? or Bad Idead or an Insult? IDK. Interesting though. Quite Interesting. Buddha Statue made from Bugs? Maybe Symblozing Peace and Harmony with Bugs? Interesting.
I might try to wack with newspaper if I get too close to it ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
urg... I'd hate to see what the loser gets...
i agree the gloss and shine on bug shells are quite attractive sometimes...
But this is kinda scary to me lol, since i was never good with bugs....ANY bugs.
if they appear in your dish u're a screwed man =P
Bugs are so cool, so interesting.......
Its design has made them endure time!!!
That is some dedication indeed...
I'm fine with most insects. It's the larval forms (i.e. caterpillars) that creep me out.
awesome! I just know that insects will die soon after being caught ^_^
Hey, very pretty.
I mean seriously, insects (especially beetles) are nature's living jewelry.
gahh! most things that have more than 4 legs freak me out
doesn't buddha like living things? Isn't he the anti-violence kind of chap? Building a statue out of corpses in his honor seems very, very wrong. I bet that whoever pulled this off is going to get incarnated in a beetle lol.
I will usually go out of my way to remove insects from my home without hurting them. Spiders I will leave alone unless they are a potential threat inside the house, even then I wont harm them.
I have had a person tell me that if you find a honey bees nest in your home, to go the extra length to try and contact a bee keeper instead of spraying them as they will potentially pay you for them.
But a statue tiled with beetles? As exotic as it is I think shall pass on that.^^;
I couldn't agree more with ayu, bugs give me the willies ;_;
I have to say that I like it and I like all types of insects and arachnids and the like. I'm particularly fond of jewel beetles and lunar moth's as well as some arachnids such as the orb spiders and writing spiders that live all around the outside of my house and do a good job of keeping down the pest insects. That being said I dislike fire ants and I loathe flea's and roach's ( madagascar hissing roach's are cool though ) and fly's because the fire ants hurt and the other's carry diseases. I have had as pets the madagascar hissing roaches and african millipedes and pink haired tarantula's and several indigenous scorpions when I used to live in Georgia. I have kept non insect pets as well that were exotic such a giant pink lipped tree frog, various newts and salamanders and geckos, I've also had a salter water reef tank and owned a nautilus for a short while ( very hard to keep because they require cold water temperatures ).
makes me sad though, I mean he killed all those bugs! Everything big or small has the right to live. Pretty amazing work and detail, but karma wise, oh man...
OMG EWwwww!!! Sick sick!! No offense but I HATE bugs!!
Seriously, I want one of those! LOL XD
Just imagine - If it were made instead with the bugs STILL ALIVE
now that would be awesome and truly a sight to behold
Oh...man...that's creepy! I hate bugs!
But I have to give it to whoever built it, amazing skill!
well the choices of reincarnation depends on the karmic retribution for the specific person for the animal world of reincarnation...so the sutra says...
the worst form of punishment usually goes to hell LOL
super bad asses goes to a place in Hell called "the uninterupted hell"
yeah it will rot, so they definitely will soak them in ethyl acetate (finger nail polish remover) before handling them, so naturally it will preserve...
but other factors like dust, mites...bla bla...darn...wall of text LOL
Same with me
0_o, hmm sounds interesting, though I dun care for bugs. And you told me there weakness^^
I hate insects, esp those that fly around,.. but i'm into arachnids. i've kept tarantulas and bred scorpions :) my best setup being http://blog.poperror.com/?p=44
anyone else into arachnids? or have any exotic pets?
How about having the next giveaway prize as a Buddha made entirely of insects?
