At this time of year, a lot of people are doing or have already done their Nenmatsu Oo Souji. You already know that a lot of people throw out manga but I've never seen this much being thrown out ^^; Via Elog.
Guess I'd just drown under the manga sea, because I don't think I'd have heart to throw any manga out ^^'
aie, i second thee.
T_T I can barely buy any manga, this makes me sad.
Me too! The manga over here is either in English translation (which costs about RM30 [1,013 Yen]), Mandarin, or Bahasa Melayu. The mandarin and BM ones cost only about RM 4.50 (152 Yen). I can't read Mandarin, and the BM translations are rather crappy. ToT
You know someone walked by these, peed themselves with glee, and went and found a wheelbarrow.
hahaha yeah.
That's one huge stash. O_O
I own over two hundred volumnes and would and will NEVER consider to give them away or sell them or throw them out. It's terrible someone would toss out so much tasty manga. I would certainly take em all.
^^; you may be underestimating how much manga the person had. they may, in fact, have such an overwhelming amount that they had absolutely no choice but to get rid of it. im sure there are a few people like the "paper" chick in read or die. too much can be hazardous to your health.
thats half of their apartment space ~_~
Didn't know this was so common. I just spent the last week reading old manga anthology magazines (purchased nearly 10 years ago) ...most of it has already ended up in the recycling bin.
I wouldn't get rid of those if you paid me. I'm a packrat, lol. >.< I have literally about 6000 video games boxed up in the basement or cluttering up the many, many shelves in my room, and I would never dream of ever getting rid of any of it. I was once foolish enough to sell my copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga--after about 6 months I started to feel like a junkie in need of his fix. I went on ebay and bought a new copy for $150 and haven't sold anything I own since.
Wow thats like a lot of money down the drain...o well one man's trash is another man's treasure...finders keepers and the like...no way in hell I would consider throwing manga out ever...
lol @ the true version
LOL please try again...
They still look new to me; I would pick up some if I were there.
could we take it? >_
I think all that manga is completley unusable, unless it was bukkake-proof ;D
Space really is a little bit of a problem there.. Doraemon's 4D pocket might come in handy, no? It really has to be invented!!
Donating to manga renting shop/library isnt an option? ;__;
no dude!! you don't do that!!! >.
Danny, maybe you should start a Manga recycling project. You set up a drop-off point where people can drop off their old and unwanted Mangas and then you ship them to some poor less fortunate souls such as myself. With a minimal fee of course for the shipping.
Unfortunately, when you run out of space, and you don't have the money or convenience to buy a big house, this is what you HAVE to do.
The reason people can afford to throw out so much manga is because others are doing ti too! Every year, people would just browse the neighborhood and see which manga series they wanted are available for "pickup". This is almost like communism!!
Most of that stuff looks pretty old. Something from the range of 12-6 years from the drawing style. I would probably throw them out too, after I check if I can sell them on ebay.
must construct a secret underground passage in your house to store such things =.=;
wow, that's huge amount of manga. is japanese house is really that narrow? hell, i'm going to carry all those manga if i see it here(indo rarely/never throw manga T_T)
with all those scanlated manga website out there on the web. storing it digitally seems like a very welcomed idea. at least one don't have to worry about where to store all those hardcopy manga. ('~')
NNNoooooooo!!!!!!
Don't throw the mangaaaaaaa!!!
I cleaned my room up recently and made sure my personal stuff (Videogames and manga among others) are 100% safe.
*runs over with trash bag* "mwahhahahahahaha" *takes off with trash bag full o manga* "whooooooooo!" ~from Lucia the garbage/otaku lady~
Reminds me of the episode in Genshiken when Saki accidentally sets light to the club's dumped manga with a lit cigarette.
Maybe their parents had finally had enough of their porno? (If some of that (at least) is porno) I would never throw any of my manga out... EVER!!!
imagine all the books filled with soldiers....
~.~.~.~.~.~.~. ew, soldier's
*grabs it all & runs off*
Oh~ I couldn't do that. I'd cry. I can't even throw out my weekly shounen jump from 2007
