20th Century Fox will be releasing a live action movie called "Street Fighter : Legend of Chun-Li." Kristin Kreuk will play the spinning bird kick Chun-Li. Via Gamespark and more details in English at ComingSoon.
I don't know... she doesn't look Chinese enough to be Chun Li... ah well I've always been a fan of street fighters so I'm going to watch when it comes out

SF Zero aka Alpha Chun Li is the best version of her. I don't get why the classic design is more favoured.
while Kristin have some part of Indonesian (and dutch) blood in her, don't think she looks chinese (or even asian) enough to pass as chun-li..., even zhang si yi could have fill the role better than her
zhang ziyi could probably be a better actress for li but i believe she has standards. who would want to star in a Street Fighter movie? Isn't one street fighter movie enough? *cringes at the van damme version

Oh great... Who was the one who chose the cast? The same guy that did the DOA movie? I mean at least they should try harder like perhaps somebody that is at least Asian... Well at least the upside is that i can cross another movie to look out for on my list.
it will probarbly be a standard game to live action movie=failure thing, but i think im gonna watch it anyhow just because shes bloody hawt :3

Umm, that's kinda lame considering they could do Street Fighter: Legend of Cammy alot more easier and believable. I wonder if Van Damme would be in as a cameo for Guile tho? LOLz. Can' t wait to read the reviews.

Kristin Kreuk is quite the cutie. I remember seeing her for the first time, and saying "wow". However, she's short, and doesn't have the muscle tone for the Chun li character. As many of you mentioned, those thights have to look like they could crush you in between them. I wouldn't mind being in between Kristin's thighs, but I doubt she could crush me with them. Agreed?
I Agree with you on the fact that Kristin doesn't look like someone who can beat a person to a pulp, then again I had the same thoughts about Charlize Theron prior to Aeon Flux

I don't really care about action movies derived from games. Guess they all failed until now. If Kristin Kreuk aims to become Chun-Li have to learn how to fight properly (Dunno if she does already or not). To incarnate one of the most famous videogame characters is surely a difficult exercise that many didn't give their best for.
Jackie Chan is the "hottest" Chun-Li around.

Well like the titles says "Legend of Chun-Li" focus on the word legend. From the actress, and what I am guess this is gonna be, it's will be most likey a movie about Chun-Li's daughter...pray to the guy above that the writer knows what he is doing.
I agree that the girl is a real beauty, but the movie will be a fail for sure. Not very good movies for games they made, and I still remenber the real-action Street Fighter movie... Such nigtmares...
Hmm, Chun Li does have quite a few different designs. This one is more on the big-eyes-big-muscles type. I feel sorry they have to choose that version of Chun Li and put it next to Kristin Kreuk. They could have gone for a slimmer design of Chun Li and less exagerated muscles. That way, the comments here may be a bit different. Then again, there's the face thing...
I agree, I also think people are making comments based on photo comparison alone. I'm not sure how well, or not the movie will do, but I'm rather interested in finding out, it's all about having an open mind. I like the idea of using someone so unfit to play a character only to prove people wrong in the end. Look at "Charlie's Angels", for example. 3 women who you'd never think could pull off an action film, let alone, do well. Give the girl a chance, she may do quite well.
