The Metallic HCM Pro's look great but the annoying thing about them is that they bring out the standard plasticy version (which one goes out to buy) and then they release the metallic version after. The last time this happened to me was when they released the awesome metallic version of Sazabi shortly after I got the standard one :-( More pics of this Exia at Gundamer.com.
That's how they make money. Different versions of the same thing.
This happens in video game world too, like Kingdom Hearts, for example, there are about 3 variants of it, first is the standard version, second is final mix, and third is final mix+.. And then there is FF XII with its zodiac whatever version...
Argh! I got the standard one a few weeks ago. *sigh* Hey Danny, why not get the MG metallic Sazabi for yourself instead. ^^
Marvin, that would be a good idea. Except they would come out with a clear version immediatly after.
Dragun, Lol I guess its like what they say in Las Vegas, the house always wins. in this case Bandai still wins.
"All your yen are belong to us"
@Marvin, its true. Anyone who bets against the house loses... especially when the house is Bandai. Maybe they should just set up an account to just send your paycheck in so we dont have to go through the trouble ourselves. An enterprise is born. @D_Blade, a sucker is born every minute.. and there is a lot of minutes in a year. At least we get stuff for our money.
DRAGUN, I always make fun of vending machines, because it's a bit like a slot machine, except that you win every time. Except when the dang machine doesn't spit your change or the stuff you bought or even both back. You can call yourself cursed then. ^^;
@Dragun, lol its as though Bandai has a dimesional doorway to our wallets and opens it to suck out the money inside. but I guess I'm getting way out of the topic here. lol @D_Blade lol I always do the same thing, I'd tell people to play the vending machine instead of the slot machine, in that way they'd always win. ^^ @Danshui in AMK, sorry for cluttering up your thread. ^^;
marvin, not only you win, but you get what you wanted originally. lol.
wow! that HCM Pro Metallic version is freaking awesome! ^__^ i don't immediately buy a plamo. i always wait for something much better to come out but there are times that this isn't followed lolz XDDD
well~ that is how Japanese make money. I have already get used to it
Looks awesome. WANT. D:
i already get used to it... so i always wait for sometime if the item wont gone unavailable
the only exia i'm getting is the MG version. ('~')
Theres MG Exia o.o? I think it probably the no-grade 1/100 u were refering to...
there'll definitely be an MG Exia but not so soon in the near future. probably in late 2008 or 2009. ('~')
and I'm praying hard for a MG Dynames... and based on how Bandai release MGs I'm in for a long wait...
learnt a lesson after a bough lot of NG 1/100, they are fat and not poseable most of them make me regret, so i never buy gundam until they release it on MG
@Gordon, me too. Ive given up on anything but the MG's. So, Im waiting for the Exia to be released in the Master Grade. I doubt the rest will be released in master grades.
squee, as what DRAGUN mentioned, other than exia, i doubt that the others will get the MG treatment. hendrik, i agree with you, NG 1/100 are fat, and shorter too. at least that's the case for NG 1/100 Strike Freedom and Destiny. the MG version are so much superior. DRAGUN, me too. i only go for MGs now. i only buy NG 1/100 if they are very impressive. i will never get 1/144, too small and the details are inferior.
I don't really like the gundam00 series, especially the models, they are suck's.
agreed. New gundams look ugly as hell
.... shouldnt be problem if u paint it besides the metalic like paint leaves a gate mark anyways (nub) usually people strip off the crappy paint so that the nub wont be there anymore and then paint over with some other paint :p
dont worry there are actually good metalic paints out there... srsly!
any suggestion which provider? tamiya acrylic, tamiya enamel, mr.hobby and load of other paint product which 1 should we/i use?
sry i have no idea but what you see in the box art you dont see nub marks at all! this means there should be a type of paint for it.... besides, a person actually made the model in the box art anyways. you'll never know till you try things out in modeling.
looks NICE but....nawww i like the classic plastic models!!
I hate metallic versions of gunpla, b/c I can't cut away parts properly...
