Clone Wars begins airing tonight on Cartoon Network at 9PM Eastern. Anyone looking forward to watching it? I actually liked the movie, so am looking forward to the show . The biggest part of the movie I didn't like was Zero the Hutt. picture from www.scificool.com
I am looking forward to it and i hope that its not too kiddy, and i agree that the inclusion of zero and maybe even asoka. but heres hoping its like the original cartoon series!
You're going to be disappointed then. Lucas Arts has made it clear that it is meant to be kiddie since that is their target audience. After seeing the movie I can attest to that.
I didn't get to see the movie. And the special that had on last week confirmed that Asoka is there. I've been told the movie is actually the first few episodes. Is this true? If not, I'll be far behind, I think.
Nah, you won't be far behind. In short, Anakin gets an apprentice (but that's covered in the first 5 minutes of the movie, so not much of a spoiler).
Yeah the movie is basically the pilot episode. It introduces Anakin's apprentice, Asoka, and sets the tone for the rest of the series.
It's definitely going to have childish elements due to America's concept of what a cartoon should be... but then, each of the six Star Wars films had groan-inducing, childish elements spread throughout. The Clone Wars movie should have just been separate from the TV series. If I tune in to see the same thing I paid for in the theater a month ago, I'm going to be a little ticked off. I don't expect that, though. I'm just looking forward to having some more stories that include characters I love, like General Grievous and Asajj Ventress.
The only thing I watch on CN Is Code geass That airs next Sunday at 4:00AM or if you have CN west at 7:00 I'm going by Eastern time. I wonder how many children waking up at 7:00 will see "Bloodstained Euphie" Episode.
More Asajj ventress is always good.
This doesn't start until the 10th for Canada, for whoever got Space Channel that is.
I just saw the first 2 episodes and they are GREAT. I had to put-up with a lot of Cartoon Network commercials but overall there was a lot of action. The kiddy part was from the old school of learning a moral value lesson.
I liked it. 1st two episodes were good. Better than I expected.
