Price of a 500GB drive has gone down to about 100 USD in Japan. Sounds cheap to me and I'm off to Akiba to get some. Via Gigazine.
i love how cheap HDD's are getting, Seagate 500Gb 32mb cache here is only 130
btw, what are the taxes in japan? from what i remember it was 5% it's 6% GST here
Has anybody had the opportunity to play with a solid state drive? Super amazing for application caching. I loved it so much I put a ram drive in my laptop. This is a great deal!
Still cost about USD125 for a hitachi here.
Was about $30 for 300gigs, and $79 for 500gigs during the Black Friday sale. =)

LOL, you know... This and that...
Bawdiness

I hoping my place here drop more, need a harddisk... for me, storage how many also not enough to use..

That's not too cheap, here you can get a 500GB for ~$75 now.
Where? for the past few months I've only been able to find them for around $90-$100 :/
HOLY ***! TALK ABOUT CHEAP! *faints*
On any given day, I can get a 500GB HDD for about 85 USD including tax and shipping. I've got 3 right now running on my machine, 2 for storage and 1 as a portable backup.
That's a bargain! 500 gigs sounds like an awful lot of space.
I bought a 500GB drive recently and the price went down by £10 ($20US) the net day. Luckily it was faulty so I was able to get it for cheaper.
Crikey!, I must buy myself one of those next time I'm in Japan.
