i've heard that this is this guy's old hardware, cause if you look at that stuff, you'll notice it's all older hardware, so maybe he upgrades a lot and has extra parts

Motherboards are for the win! It's a kind of Oedipus-complex. They're one of my favourite pieces of hardware. HDDs come first, for the sheer amount of work they do, their reliability, I don't know they're just sweet devices. If HDDs are highschool girls, Motherboards are MILFs :D
