(insert every profane word known to man). these are the same Cebu (I think)(Philippine) inmates who did the mass Algorithm March and Thriller dance. i'm guessing that none of 'em has ever seen Haruhi save for the dance video. I'm not sure if they like doing this sort of thing or if it's helping in any way.

There's a story somewhere about how these people are beaten and starved if they don't participate and/or do their best. However, I think that dancing is good for them, as it will give them excercise and discipline. And they are prisoners, after all. Let them dance to atone for their sins! Haruhi wants it so ;D
Salute! These kind people are needed for the purification of the entire world! Even if they're not real prisoners, they've perfected the dance... Really amazing teamwork...
as far as i know, these are real prisoners and most likely they havent seen the SOS dance
I guess there wouldn't be any ideological conflicts if Haruhism just became the only religion in the world; it's so frickin' popular.

Wow, they're actually really really good. Better than I've seen in a while. One thing, did anyone notice the girl? Not the guy with long hair in the middle, but an actual girl. I wonder if that prison is a co-ed prison?
I have a feeling the people in the front are instructors who are part of the rehab program. I don't know for sure -- it's just a guess.
"zeroaquaduct" Maybe they are, but I'm thinking the reason why they're up front is because they're probably the ones who choreographed the dance. I was just pointing out the fact that there are females amongst the group.

This song always makes me grin all stupid, even when seeing prisoners dance. Especially when Konata and her friends did it. The show really appealed to me somehow--I guess that's par. ...but then I heard it in English. Don't know why dubbing bugs me, but it does. It might as well have been five overweight guys all making up words to the theme from "Sanford & Son" (http://www.celebsoundboards.com/soundboards/sanford.swf) Good luck to these prisoners. I hope they got brownie points for that, or at least got to watch some Haruhi (subtitled, of course).

When I try searching for the source of the video, I found that apparently this is not the only dance they do. Looks kinda fishy though. Dance + publicity on the net + prison (?!) = Wackism
