Is this how bat girl should really look like? The recently released gorgeous figure of Queens Gate Alice. Yeah the eyes definitely caught my interest as well. The overall sculpt is nice, I just hope the production model stays close to the prototype here. Foo-bar-baz had a post of one they apparently got their hands on, but it's just through the box, not opened or anything. I was anxious to do a little comparing.

I hope the figure is better than the photos though. The colors and skin tone are washed out... expect the figure to be out on the 31st of this month (I had her on pre-order for sometime now).

I think her skin tone is supposed to be pale-ish, and as far as being washed out, it looks like a product of the picture, not the figure. If you goto AkibaHobby and look at their review, the colors are a lot more lush.

Yeah Foo-bar-baz didn't have a "review" up whenever I looked there. They just had a piccy of the front of the box, and said they picked it up on the way back from the office or something. I'm kinda mad, I wrote the post about how I was able to last-minute reserve at HLJ and they pulled the old switcheroo on me again. They did this with the Clare that released late last year, where I reserved it, said it was in stock, then put up that it was discontinued and my order shows "Future Release" status. So now I'm staying up to see if Hobby Search releases it today, too. I think I've officially become a nutty otaku with this. =P

I have her together with QB's Merorna pre-ordered like few months ago since they became first available for reserved. Now, just need to wait few more days for their released. Btw, if you are in the collection of QB's figures, MegaHouse will release QB's Nanael on late November. Again, reservation for Nanael was already closed within 2 to 3 days after it was up for pre-ordered online in those Japanese figures site.

My guess would be that that is what happened with the Clare figure as well. People do often cancel their orders, so there's still a chance. I had a look around some domestic sites, and they are all sold out as well. I found one on Amazon Japan, but they already want 9800 yen for it. Obviously we want to be able to fill all of the orders we get, but unfortunately we just can't always get in all the stock we order. I'm very sorry that I was unable to help you more. Its bloody ridiculous, they should give priority to customers which actually have preordered the item. If they don't whats the point in preordering at all? They should also email customers when an item they have on preorder becomes available like most sites do. /rant
