I hardly see a girl who does Gundam Model Kits too. In fact, most of my online friends don't believe that I am a girl due to the fact that - I do model kits for a hobby. Is there anything wrong with that? xD In my country, I think most of the girls spend their time on various anime eg. Vampire Knight etc. For me, I go for Gundam series, Shounen series like Nanoha. Maybe that is why no one believes that I am a girl. Picture above is one of my recent completed Gundam. Edited the image using Photoshop, although the gun fire looks fake. Still, my first edited image using Photoshop that consisted of a Gundam =D. Well, what about you? Would you believe that I am a girl after reading this? =P (thanks for those who believed, it meant something. lol)

Absolutely nothing wrong with it, although I also don't find or see much girls into that kind of stuff. But it is perfectly fine in my opinion, hell more than fine, its awesome!

You're similar to Aoba Tsuzaki from Jinki:EXTEND (you should watch it it's an awesome anime), and as for me I go for any anime, shounen, shojo, seinen, whatever, except hentai porn(don't do those), I have friend who's a girl,(and second in command of my brigade (like the S.O.S. Whats wrong with Girls building Gundams?? If a person like whatever He/She is doing right now, they should go ahead and do it regardless of which gender you are. My manager builds Gundam models and she's a girl (an otaku nonetheless). There's no reason to or not to believe you're a girl just because you build Gundam models. It's a hobby. You could even post up a cute 2D girl,say you like that sort of stuff, then state you're a girl and it'll still be good. Different people, different taste. Nothing hard to believe or not believe ^_^

Yeah, I've seen girls draw moe, in fact manga in general, and it looks cool, look at Yun Kouga, or Noizi Ito, Rumiko Takahashi, Shoko Nakagawa, Nao Yazawa or Hiromu Arakawa (they're successful and they're girls), Girls have the right to watch whatever anime they want just like guys do, look at my female half (Konata)

Contrary to popular belief, a good majority of otaku girls also build gunpla. When i was shopping around for a 1/100 Exia and 1/100 Kyrios, one shop told me that they were sold out... and it was mostly girls who bought them. Surprising isn't it?

WAAAH!!! BE MY GIRLFRIEND!!! I'll gladly save up and see you in Singapore... LOLZ! No, seriously It's okay for you to be building gunpla, IMO it increases your charisma ^^. I have female friends who are interested in Gundam, but they go for it because of the boys (Heero Yuy) and the love pairings, you can rarely see girls who watch Gundam for the story or mecha (no offense to other girls out there). Maybe in our country you are one in a million, but I certainly know 2 girls in my other forum who build gunpla, well actually the other one is addicted to Haros (It doesn't matter what kind of Haro it is, may it be Amuro's or Lockon's) I for myself am addicted to Nanoha too! In fact my figma Nanoha and Fate are on the way, if my friend's Aunt in Japan was able to buy them though. Anyways, continue with what you like! I guess I'll be expecting some of your work here in DC too.

Ha,ha, that's completely plausible then ^^. Since you are just starting out you can stick with the 1/144s for a while. No need to rush, otherwise you'll just ruin your Master Grade.

not at all- actually the Gundam looks great! (please switch to model nippers, the toe nail clippers make me squeemish) (is a model builder). Folks with odd interests don't bother me at all- I especially like folks that get into their hobbies despite me not really liking the hobby in the first place. Case and point- roommate was into model railroading, and I learned a bit (and liked them more) after seeing some fun stuff.

lol, good work, and yes it's surprising for the 'gentler' sex to be interested in mecha. Not be sexist or anything of course - it's just that we are all brain washed to like certain things while growing up. Still, it is kinda cool. I have that model too by the way, but it is sitting on my stack of unbuilt models on my to do list :P So you're one step ahead of me. Btw I also used to use nail clippers, but i found once I switched to bandai nippers, it was a LOT easier.
