The idol group ℃-ute recently had a hand-shake-with-fans session after a concert but one of the members Arihara ended up crying after. The reason was that many fans ignored her when it was their turn to shake hands with her. One of the given by fans who ignored her was because Arihara had a boy friend and that some of the fans felt betrayed... Have you ever felt betrayed in this way? The UFA have not confirmed if she has a boyfriend or not, but the photos of her seems to suggest so. I dint hear anything her crying about it though, I think its funny the Wota ignored her.

I wouldn't have ignored her because I'd feel bad, but it honestly makes sense. Aya and many other popular girl's fanbase would drop if they got a boyfriend. I certainly wouldn't stop being a fan, but I will admit that there's just a certain "appeal" that they would lose even though most everyone knows they'd never have a chance with said idol/girl, they would just lose that "appeal" of not having a boyfriend.

I've been following the behind-the-scenes news of Hello!Project for several years now and if there's one constant it's that the moment paparazzi catch one of the girls out on a date then suddenly it's the scandal of the century. Several of their highest profile talents have simply quit the scene because they wanted to date guys (or if they already were and were caught on camera then suddenly they "resign."

Sure, I have seen people joke on TV that "Sorry ladies, but the host just got married" or "Sorry boys, I am taken *giggle*," but after an "aww, shucks," we move on and still support the men/female doing their job. But this is very sad to hear and the fans should be sorry for what they have done.

That's how the entertainment industry works. You can call it sad or stupid, but it's true. The whole industry plays off people's fantasies. The fans then feel betrayed and get filled with self-righteous wrath when their lovely fantasies come crashing down on their stupid heads. Maybe that isn't how it is in the West, but it's surely how it is in the East. I'm not at all surprised the fans gave that C-ute member the cold shoulder.

Yeah, it's a crazy reason, but unfortunately, that's what it's like for Hello! Project groups. Miki Fujimoto was kicked out of Morning Musume because she was caught with a boyfriend. She basically went from top dog to "no name" overnight. BTW, that picture is really old. :P

Well, I mean...This is why you see some idols/celebs retiring after they get married right? This is probably the same scenario as going to a strip club and seeing a stripper wearing a wedding ring. As expected, if an idol has a boyfriend than of course some of her fans would start to dislike her. Think about it, most of the fans are probably single. Watching their favorite idol would be like being in heaven for them, knowing that an idol is single it lets them to think that there is a possibility that they might become the idol's boyfriend. It lets them fantasize about that. Idols should know about this and they shouldn't feel sad about it. I myself would probably feel a little disappointed if I knew that one of my favorite idols has a boyfriend but not in the way like the people I mentioned. I would also feel more depressed if the boyfriend isn't treating her well.

How many members of boy bands or girl groups got chosen because of their great singing voice? It's all about sex appeal. Naturally the fans feel betrayed when they find a member has a girlfriend or boyfriend. That's been going on since the days of The Beatles. It's nonsense but it's what people do. These girls look about 12 so frankly the whole thing is very dubious, in my opinion. I don't blame the girl for crying. She's just a child and the pop industry machine is exploiting her innocence.
