4chan is a big talk board for those into games/otaku culture. It has boards for a load of different topics, some (very) NSFW. Unfortunately it devolves into idiocy and trolling far too regularly to feel like a community, and it takes a while to get into the black humour of things like 'so I herd you liek mudkipz', 'tits or GTFO' and 'I'm firing mah lazer! I'm scared to know her age... Anyway, I've read the Chobits manga a few times (more then eight, to be exact). Its a wonderful pieces of literature that is told with the help of amazing art work. As all of CLAMPS works, it deals with overcoming differences -- both emotional and physical. Its about the difference between love and lust, and how one can stand without the other.

Actually, Chobits was what dragged me into watching anime. Sure, I watched DBZ and pokemon when I was a kid, but I never really pursued videos. I thought it was adorable at the time, but now that I look back on it, it's about average.

I've seen it ;p It was my second anime ever to finish watching (and actually my first anime, because the other one took longer to be released). I think it gave me a good start as for anime, and would recommend it to anybody.
Any idea what camera/equipment set up MPZero uses? extremely sharp and well toned photos... @.@

Mind you, Hideki's voice is done by Sugita, the one that did the voice of Kyon from Suzumiya Haruhi. Great voice.

Kippi pic without teeth is not Kippi pic enough. :P Chobits is probably between the first 10 animes I watched, and is among the ones that made me an addict/otaku/etc. I remember watching Trigun, Chobits and some other animes and realising how deep the subjects protrayed on animes could get... and how that made Animes so different from traditional western cartoons (which I also like). The question about loving a computer/android/robot, having a relationship with one. Also, the thing about your memories, her memories, and what is significant to one or other... Things like these that makes me keep watching Animes even though I'm far older than the "acceptable" age for watching "cartoons"... not that I give a damn about public opinnion on these, but Animes are just great to make you think and debate about polemic issues.
Chobits touched me like no other animé has so far. Its truly beautiful and should definitely be seen by all.

i read the MANGA and loved it. I couldn't get into the anime though.
