Depiction of what the Gurren episodes was like. I remember there being an incredibly crap episode earlier on (was it ep4 or 5?). Still haven't seen all the episodes yet. Was the ending any good? Original size of this at Neta.

Gah - dont spoil it for everyone! I gotta admit though, im well put off after that event. He was an awesome character. Since the cliched and dull nia has been introduced, i havent seen an episode for a few weeks. Gotta persist and see the rest of them though...
Gurren Lagann is great Danny. The ending was good. Not an overly happy ending but considering we are talking about Gainax I don't think anybody expected one. And yeah episode 4 sucked. Guest director. That aside get you armor clad ass down to Gamerz and pick up the DVDs Danny you owe it to yourself.

Hm, i dont 'get' this image. Seems a bit stupid. If theyre poking fun at the samey-ness and animation quality of it, then they are fools - the animation of Gurren Lagann is superb. Nice and Gainax-y
its a 4chan meme called the 4koma guys. we over at /m/ in 4chan were watching the episodes as they premeired and usually a week later someone would post a diffrient verison of the 4koma reaction shot.

Danny I'm not going to lie or sugar coat the ending for you cause I know thats not how you roll I mean for reals when was the last time you did that right. Otakus don't sugarcoat. Of course it's a Gainix flix which does mean an almost 90% let down ending and yea it was totally a let down this time around. I wont tell you how it ended because you have to see it to understand it lol. I believe this Anime was purely made just to showcase Gainix's new production style and that was the only purpose of this anime.

This was easily the best giant robot show gainax has ever produced and without doubt ranks extreemly high in the pantheons (or GARhalla as /m/ knows it) of Mechadom.
Yeah that anime was one of the best for the past season. After episode 16-17 it was on another level. Just awasome. A must see!
I was a tremendous fan of Gurren Lagann throughout its entire run. ...except for episode 4. It introduced some important characters, but it really was garbage, style issues aside. I could quibble with the ending for not doing what I wanted, but it was magnificent, nonetheless. I saw a lot of these images as they came out after the episodes. Most of them were great, but I really preferred the one I saw originally after episode 9 came out. Instead of having the line of guys, it was a black background with the words "OMG NIA HIJACK!" :D
