oh good, so I wasn't the only one who thought, "Oh great, narutards..." I admit, I used to watch the show and read the manga, but that was because I was bored and had nothing else to watch. Therefore, I thank Lucky Star for getting me out of this deep end.

I wasn't much into Naruto till March this year and I decided to give it a try by watching the first episode on youtube, after that I knew I had to watch the rest because I was hypnotized by it and watched 30 episodes in a row in youtube O_O so I had to asked a friend that had the full series of Naruto. Well I wouldn't say that it's for kids, I'd say its more for teens since there are scenes of love comedy and "bloody action"
Its a pretty good series except for the fillers, but you can just skip all that
I used to read the manga, but just like Bleach it got way too.. long. Infinite shonen's just aren't my thing. I used to watch DBZ, but this was before I knew anything about anime. But so far Danny all the anime you've recommended through this site has been tasteful, so I would assume you'd get fed up with Naruto. That sounded way negative. Sorry Naruto fans, I don't hate the show, fillers just aren't tasteful, and they make me angry ^^;

I watched Dragon Ball + Z + GT + TV Specials on all of them. Don't really need Naruto to do basically the same all over again. Just to damn big of a series. I mean, I love BLEACH, but I'm starting to get angry about the size it's assuming already...

This and Bleach are probably the only shows I'll never watch. Can't say I find the whole fighting particularly interesting. Much better anime out there.

Many people don't like Naruto anime cos too many fillers and it seems to be a bit 'childish' compared to the manga. It makes even more people to hate it. I can't say it's the same as Bleach. I read the manga and I only watch Naruto Shippuuden.
Hm, ive never seen it either, so i cant comment. The fan base does put me off though - its extremely popular with teenagers over here and ive seen waaay too many 'narutards' in cosplay at expos and such to want to see it! Besides - DBZ put me off epic, long spanning episodic anime series for life! The Naruto games look quite good though.

I used to watch it, and loved it... ... until I realised that there were MANY better anime out there. Then I dropped it like a turd.
Because of Nartuo (sic), people stereotype anime fans as "those people who watch ninja cartoons and running around the house yelling RASENGAN while wearing a retarded headband". Good reason why I'm staying the hell away from this series. Power levels + Tournaments + Long battles + Filler episodes = typical DBZ shounen animu. Or should I say, Nartuo is gradually becoming the next DBZ.
I still don't get how you can be a ninja with those clothes...anyway, Naruto just sucks. But it's liek the best anime for many kids...especially here in my country.

I watched a few eps and the anime is just crap, I suggest you read the manga instead *btw, I heard naruto manga has actually anded in japan right? I'm not really into reading manga but I'll just wait for the spoilers ^^
the anime might be targeted for kids, but one thing is for sure. the manga definately isn't for kids, it gotten so intresting
There is not as much trash talking as DBZ but an equal amount of filler episodes. I'd have to say I like a wide variety of shows, and I am hooked on this one.
Meh, I've never gotten into the whole Naruto movement thingy. It just doesn't appeal to me, ninjas in orange jumpsuits jumping around, screaming, and eating ramen (from what I hear).
Never cared for this show or really any anime that is over 100 episodes. Also most of the people around Ohio who watch this are kind of annoying but i have met a few who are not.
read the manga(1 of my fave now), hate the anime. there's way to much better anime than this
Don't worry Danny, I don't watch the show either, for some reason I just can't get in to it. I've seen an episode or two but it doesn't really do anything for me. I've watched the entire Dragonball series and this seems to be nothing more than another one of those. Basically another story with another very slow story progression.

I've watched all of Naruto, minus the filler. It's not bad. Not great, but not bad. I've noticed the latest series, Naruto Shippuuden, is quite a bit more mature in both anime-style and character personality. It's hard to recommend as an anime to people, especially with all these fanatics surrounding the series. However, if you got the time, it's worth at least checking out.
i read the manga which is pretty decent. wish i could say the same about the anime though. the anime is too draggy~~! >_< Zzz
It's an awsome show. Have been a faithful fan for years. I don't think It's aimed at kids even though kids over here and in america are obsest. The anime (Naruto Shippuuden) has been dissapointing so far with only a select few episodes that will WOW you. But the first series (ep1-135) are simply amazing. The manga is also ace. ^ ^ Beats the anime in all area's.
I dont watch the naruto anime the new one or the old but I enjoy reading the manga alot.Same goes for bleach but I wacth the anime sometimes.
i can honestly say that i have never touched a single episode of Naruto. sadly, almost all people who watch anime in my area are narutards.

Ninja DON"T say 'believe it' in the end of every sentence!! Real Ninjas are the Japan version of Splinter Cell or Assassin or spy or commando. Naruto should died for calling him self or other characters in the series as a Ninja! If Naruto is real, real ninja would kill him!!!!
If only you've seen Hiroyuki Sanada's early ninja movies....there's yellow ninja,white ninja,green ninja,elite red ninja,black ninja,blue ninja,purple ninja,brown ninja,ninja megazord...uh wait,that was from power rangers...
Like a lot of people have mentioned, the manga is vastly superior. I recommend reading the first 4 volumes, it's the first story arc and if it doesn't interest you then you probably wont like the rest.

i've watched before when naruto was starting and only a few people knows about it but lost interest of not only to the fillers but also to the fags who raeped it, become mainstream and the appearance of what we call narutards (no offense to some naruto fans out there)

Its a good series-the original-not like the edited one airing in North America. The original is more violent and intended for older audiences i think. Also, children aren't the only ones i have seen cosplaying as Naruto characters. I saw pictures of older people as naruto characters from Comiket. It seems even adults have taken a liking to it.

Maybe it's just me but I don't really go into mainstream ones. No Naruto, Bleach, nor One Piece for me. Or at least these titles are the mainstream ones back where I am. I go for others that actually do appeal to me. I'm still in love with the older series like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Martian Successor Nadesico. XD I did read abit of the Naruto manga in the past, under the influence of my friend. But I gave up after spending quite a few hours reading 5 volumes, and plenty more to go. Guess I'm more into the shorter series sometimes. =/

when naruto is older its better... but all in all its still mostly stupid... it just keeps going and going... it relies on a lot of filler. it would have been great if the younger part (some 200+ eps) were put into 25 eps and then the older one put ino 25 eps and scrap all the filler and just give us the main story which is pretty cool... oh well... i doubt this show will ever end... ill be 100 years old ( yeah that right i know im gonna live that long!) hearing dottobayo! by then i'll be wearing naruto gear in a wheelchair wheeling around in my yard pretending to be a ninja!
I enjoy watching Naruto, not the fillers, they're a bore. The real action is good. The manga is even better though.
