All the main girls from Ah My Goddess dressed in appropriate summer attire. Now, this picture was my poor way to segway to a question I've been curious about for awhile about other members. Does your family, relatives, guardian, care provider (exclude friends) know you are an otaku? Or are you a closet otaku and keep your interests to your self? Would you feel safe telling them should they ask or find out you like anime, figures etc or would you deny it and give an excuse? And what do you think their reaction would be? Your high rez: http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj256/techno_newt/anime/Ah_My_Goddess_10.jpg
Hmm, my family and relatives know I like Japanese anime, manga etc. But they still not found out about my figure collecting hobby yet (they only know I collect Gunpla). Oh, and they still dunno that I watch H also (pornographic materials are forbidden in my country, so if they found out, I'm screwed)
yeah my family knows i love anime/manga/figures/and just about everything else. but i don't think they really understand why or to what extent.
My family knows I like those "Japanese cartoons", they never do really question my gaming habits. It does bother me when they call my figures dolls though. In short, yes they know.
I think everyone I know knows that I like anime and related stuff ^^ I just don't think it's worth to hide it from people, because sooner or later they'll find out about it, as as Murphy's Law says, it'll be in the worst scenario possible ^^"
My family doesn't really care that I like anime stuff, though they are pressuring me to get out and bring back a girlfriend :/
my family doesn't care about the me liking the anime but my friends do bug me a lot :
Mostly everyone knows about my like for figures and anime. I also got used to people saying "Ah you got another doll?"
...My family knows I watch "Japanese cartoons" but have no idea about the full extent of it. Same goes with my friends - I never hide it, but I don't exactly talk about it unless they ask either. I have yet to collect figures, so there's no physical evidence yet.
The only complain i get from my family is when i buy a new figure.
I do not think letting your relative know that you like comics, figures, etc is a problem at all since that is how the way you act. World has changed, figures, comic, video games, etc are no longer for kids only.
everybody knows.. wife doesn't mind at all and(when she hands over the wallet) i get figures and stuff all the time :D caurse i'm older.. be a bit difernt in school i guess..
Oh my Goddesses .......AND I MEAN LITERALLY
My family knows, but doesn't really understand, except my niece. She is a fellow otaku. We like some different things, but we understand each other.
I have never kept it a secret that I love anime and manga, but hey, my mother and I have always been fans of comics and cartoons. We have watched both Akira and Cowboy Bebop together. I think she also watched Blood, the last vampire. She has also read DB, all 42 of 'em! The rest of my family couldn't care less about it. I haven't met any other otaku here.
