At last! Nintendo finally announced the release date for the gadget that plugs into the NDS to enable digital TV. Costs 6,800 yen and will be out November 20th. Via Akihabara News and Gigazine.
Only 6,800 yen for this new add-on? I would so buy that as long as its only the 6,800 yen and no other fees like a subscription fee, maintenance fee, etc.
If its a RF antenna, I dont think there would be any fees. Considering that the signal is just floating around out there, the antenna just pics up the source and displays it (like in the old days).. kind of like.... radio?
I should try here in Brazil. Since Digital TV signal here will be placed in 2008 and will be the same technology used on Japan. Cheers ö(^o^)
DRAGUN, The signal is digital so no wavy lines on the screen. I'm so getting this. Will post a review.
is this japan only? coz if it is i'll be heart broken.
Yea, Japan only far as I've heard. http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/10/nintendo-ds-tv-.html
I think it'll work anywhere, Digital TV would probably become the standard for broadcast media before the next decade check out the wiki for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_television
ahh didn't know about the 1seg. lol sorry.
i thought 1seg is only available in Japan? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1seg
I am surprised that its only 6800 yen, seems great ^^
And here we have the DS doing what the PSP already has... and in widescreen.
oh man!!! i want that it's cheap!!
i will definitely going to get this ^__^ now all it needs is digital broadcasting (1Seg) here ^___^;;;
That will be obsolete soon. Most TVs that get those signal will be useless. I do not know about Japan though.
