Yikes. Sega know how to make good games but they sure dont know how to make figures. Looked like they completely raeped this Shunya Yamashita illustrated Kasumi.
Looks fine when you look at it from 5 meters away but makes you feel used when you look at her up close - 5,000 yen for the pair...Any victims to this purchase? More pics at Cut A Review.

Speaking of Sega, whats your fave Sega game? Me used to love Space Harrier and would love a remake.

Not a fav per se, but I remember spending alot of time on the Panzer Dragon series when the Sega Saturn first came out. "Holy s**t! Look at those graphics!" ^^;;;

Favorite sega games would have to be the Virtual-on series *points to avatar* though I liked the 2nd one the most by far.

VO:OT is a deep and impressive game for sure; my favourites are F355 and the Streets of Rage series.

I wouldn't call myself a fan of it or anything, but I like Virtual On as well. Have only played it on the PS2 and once in the arcade though. :

OMG.... I think the worst thing about them is the paint job.... if the paint job was any good they'd probly look alright, cos in my humble oppinion the sculpt aint too horrific.

oh man, I remember playing Space Harrier back in the late 80's. Simply classic Sega. I would also love to see a remake.

I used to have a store where I had a machine (an arcade) with that game and one of my friends knew the game, for the rest of us was like "man, you're really old, you know". But being him just a pair of years older that meant something for us too.

Man, I was such a Sega head when I was growing up, it was Master System and then the Mega Drive or bust! hahaha.

Hmm, fave Sega game, there were so many... I loved After Burner. Shenmue was good, too, I hope they make a Shenmue 3 or complete the story on PS3. Oh and Jet Set Radio, now that is an awesome game!!

for 5000 yen, that kasumi is too much. I think they should've been 1500 yen originally when they're first released because theyr'e boxed for ufo catcher machines

I purchased both versions of this figure, hehe. The quality isn't great, but I think it's decent for the price. I bought mine while HLJ had an 'early bird' price on this. Also, I don't remember the price being $50 for the pair...I think I paid around $30+shipping.

I also pre-ordered the other SEGA/Shunya figures coming out in September.

and

What can I say? I'm a sap for Shunya-san's work ;p.

Well, alltime Sega favorites for me would be:

-Thunderblade
-Choplifter
-Alex Kid
-Altered Beast
-Shinning Force
-Gunstar Heroes

That would be it yeah uhum.

About this figure, I am glad I already have a Kasumi one, cause this Sega version is not making it to my collection anytime soon.

I brought these (the white AND the blue one) and i was actually pretty impressed. Sure, the sculpting, assembly and paintwork is a little shoddy, but what do you expect from a UFO prize figure?
I thought the actual figure was great, but i recently sold both of them in a recent ebay selling binge. They just dont compare to some of my more expensive, fave PVC figures.

Oh, and my favourite Sega games were Streets of rage 2, Sonic 2 and Jet set radio future, although the latter was developed by smilebit, not sega. Segas days of developing great games have long gone - they usually get someone else to do it!

5,000 yen for a Sega figure? No thanks. Their figures are only worth for 1,500 yen, for those UFO ones. XD
