Watch how a desperate anime distributor is going after anime fans just because they cant sell any anime DVDs. Rather than think of ways to expand and the quality of their product, they try to sue their own potential customers. Read more at Zer0's site.
Yes... That's right. Now that's not business smart. Besides that, it's downright stupid... They won't last long doing things this way. If they don't change their ways, they will collapse sooner or later...
it says on wiki they have partial copyrights, which meant they could sell Anime.... but they can't ....sue o_O
B*satrds... all of them... All my friends back home are extremely pissed. Lucky me, I am in Vancouver, which is way more better. Will assemble Strike Unit to do a take down when I arrive home. Spread the word people, each country will have a primary strike cell with several sleeper cells in reserve. These cells will coordinate themselves independently and only use sleeper cells for utmost emergency's. Gureilla warfare is a must with superior undercover skills to infiltrate such companies. Though there are other options like blackmail and so forth. These decisions will be made by the Intelligence officer. On a another note, I havent been back to Singapore in 2 yeras. Bloody long time. AND BLOODY HELL! Its Sheryl Fox! Had the honou of meeting her before at a play.
For those interested in the show, someone had uploaded it onto youtube. http://youtube.com/watch?v=JKYM8vcHV4s
Yea thank god I'm in Canada too!!!! And this Odex saga is so idiotic! I honestly believe that their whole marketing strategy is to make anime fans so pissed off that we destroy their offices just so that they can collect their insurance money, thereby bringing their profit up!
bah..ODEX again?! btw, what would you do if there is no lisence holder(like ODEX/ADV)in your country for the animes you like? -download a DVDrip -Download the *.iso -buy on an online store
fans should seriously stop putting all the blame on the licensing companies and acting like they're all innocent.and burning stuff is outright stupid.the chinese fansub community has long since surpassed its english counterpart and nowadays groups release anything from LQ rmvb to HDTV/DVDRIP to subtitled .iso with high quality TIFF scans of dvd cover and booklets at light speed. how on earth can any legit operation compete with that? even the extremely developed chinese pirate industry doesn't stand a chance against free.
It been a hot topic for the past few weeks here in Malaysia too! As u all know we are just neighbor country! Our country does not have any official distributor so we arent tat worry about those stuff! But is really annoying tat they check on ppl privacy! Just make me feel unsafe! They could have even check on every single information u past through the internet!
The Freedom to Download Fan Subbed Animes is the Right of all Sentient Beings!
Since Portugal is a country which barely has any anime shows and the only ones that appear on TV are the most common known like Pokemon, Digimon, Doremi...... so there are tons of anime that were never shown here and will never be and most of the new ones won't appear, then our only option is to download them. There are some shows that are sold on DVD but the most known are Evangelion, Trigun, GITS S.A.C and others of course these are the ones that already showed up here on TV. One of the reasons that I don't buy anime DVDs its because of the price, 20~25€ per DVD with 6 episodes, of course GITS has DTS 5.1 with original language and portuguese subtitles but tis expensive for me. The only anime DVDs that I have are from a collection that came out last year with classic movies like Ninja Scroll, Street Fighter II, Macross, etc....
this ODEX guy will be killed if he live in indonesia, piracy in here is pretty common downloading are pretty hard here so i buy pirated DVD. as anime distributor in my country work like a f-ing snail and fan subbed anime beat its quality so f-ing bad
hehe... i agree... if he is in indonesia he'll get killed...haha...
Mm-hm. Now you know what a Singaporean is, don't you? I'm sorta straddling the fence on this one, because while I do disagree that we shouldn't be allowed to download Fansubs (we're not the ones at fault, only the distributors are, at least according to Penal Codes), I can't stand how idiotic and overzealous some anime fans can get out of this incident. Thank you, Danny, for sharing the Singapore story to the world. By the way, do you have Channel NewsAsia where you live too?
"Don't you guys just love ODEX?" Yea... They sure are "great"...
