Mugen Frontier Super Robo Blah Blah (long title) just came out on the NDS and is doing the rounds in the otaku blogsphere due to the amount of "eye wobble" available - skip to just before half way in the vid to see those wobbles. "Eye wobble" is called "Chi Chi Yure" [乳揺れ] in Japanese - useful Japanese to know when you are on your visit here. For example "Chi Chi Yure misete kudasai" or "Show me some eye wobble." "Misete Kudasai" means "Please show me." Image via Neta.
Looks much more fun then the DS games we have here in the states. Worth getting for game play/story line? I currently have Jump Super Stars but have to use a guide cause I cant read Japanese yet.
wow looks like NDS is quite good - has lots of weirdly cool games. lol at KOS-MOS super and chi chi yure misete o kudasai may get the girls mistaken - they might get they father to jump up and down for you ..hehehe
KOS-MOS!!! I want this game just because she's in it.
Wow.. The game looks awesome judging by the video.. It will be on my priority list when it is available in Singapore.. ^^
Wow... made a post about this yesterday... didn't post on member news because I didn't think it would fit much. :P 2 videos and some more info on it here: http://xspblog.com/2008/05/30/mugen-no-frontier-super-robot-taisen-og-saga/
if it has bouncing eyes in it then its fit for member news ^^;
i'm going to get this just because i like super robot wars
when i first saw the preview it look SO inocently like a standard robot/fighting game. now this is the way it turned out... all the more reason to quickly get it on my ds.r4 ftw
That some graphic for a NDS!!! That game is combo over kill!!!!....seem to notice that the more portion of the eyes exposed the more damage she will deal!!!!
I like Nanka... Fell in love with her immediately when I saw her big... Sword...
This game looks awesome. I've played a few of the other SRW games but extra eye candy is always welcome ^_^
see... I am tempted, but the graphics.... and the story, and the game mechanics.... Just doesn't look well done.... (or rather, it should have been done on the PSP...) Regardless, hope someone rips the sprites of those... That would be nice...
can't wait for my copy to arrive! ^_^
WOW! Looks like an awesome game. I played Jump Ultimate Stars before, which is kinda like this I guess. Bunch of different characters from different games/anime thrown together in a fighting game. But then I doubt this will come out into the U.S.
I've been playing this game for a while, only gotten to the fourth world so far. The script's pretty amusing, and the new main characters are rather unique. I can't say much about the story, but the summary so far is that, something weird is happening in a world which started a "Ten Year War", and 3 years after that ended it's affecting the other worlds. The main characters get involved in the incidents as the events they come across begin showing more and more links to a source of the problem. The gameplay is pretty fun, except the bosses are ridiculously stronger than your average enemies, and you usually begin to run low on items just before them if you carry any less than 5pcs.
I saw the two characters from Namco x Capcom in there...^_^ I'll have to order this.
Waiting for my copy to arrive too. What I roughly know about it and some thoughts and ramblings: http://sites.google.com/site/i2kthoughtrec/endless-frontier-1 My pretty rough translation of manga chapter 2: http://sites.google.com/site/i2kthoughtrec/endless-frontier Pretty much more interested in the story than gameplay.
thx for the japanese lesson:)
I wonder how many people got it for the eyes X)
I've been keeping an eye on this game for a while but I really can't tell what the combat system is like. I'm hoping for a system similar to Namco X capcom since Monolith had a hand in making both (hence the inclusion of KOSMOS, Reiji and Xiaumu) As I loved namco X capcom despite the obvious flaws (4 hours of playtime for the final stage!!!) Guess I'll find out soon enough... But as a little geek-out, I really liked the dangaioh reference in the promo video. Did anyone else catch it? "Xioumu wave!!!!"
Its nice to play it in Nds (its look like the namco x capcom game to me) the battle system is more simply do the combo but its not the SRW i could play eh.
holy crap. talk about overkill powered up attacks. it's amazing anything can last through one of those super moves, lol. looks pretty good to me. will definitely be getting a copy, woot!~
yay! mugen frontier! suzuka hime's my favorite gal on my list since she's um.....a dancer....and she dances really good.....andoh yeah....eyes and girls fiesta!
whoa that looks like so much fun...
enjoying the game quite a bit, like the nxc battle system they used this time to show off the wonderful chara designs, oh and the ladies w/ their bounce ;).
I dont think I've ever wanted a game so badly.
Is that Marina Inoue I hear? :o
Watashi ha anata no mune o sawaritai desu ! This sentence could be really useful in japan too!
Looks like a really fun game! Don't know when will we get it in North America. =/
Being a fan of Super Robot Taisen since like... 4 on the snes I can say that I have been greatly expecting this game. It didn't turn out like I though it would, but damned I want to play it BADLY now!!
Finally had a chance to play the game this weekend and have gotten through a few dungeons. All I can say is, disappointment if what I'm feeling right now. Primarily regarding the combat system but it also feels weird playing a (VERY loosely) SRW game in a traditional RPG sense...
