Windbell takes this nice picture of sailor fuku girls in Ikebukuro. in Japanese, this can be jokingly called "tousatsu" [盗撮] or "taking pictures of people without them knowing" which has evil connotations ^^; Tou [盗] means to steal and Satsu [撮] means to take a photo or video.
sooooo.... i can say that my brother did tousatsu my neighbor hahaha *WICKED*
But as photographer, aren't the best pictures the candid ones? not like a voyeur, but more like national geographic or a new photographer taking a covert picture of a crowd or something. I find that the vast majority of people who know that i am taking their pictures make some pretty silly faces, which ends looking allot worse then if i just snapped a candid one. When i do snap candid ones, they look infinitely better.
ok i admit i did tousatsu a few tmes too on cute girls. ^^; but nowadays i heard mobile phone manufacturers are disabling the ability to turn off the sound when taking pictures. in the past we can just turn off the sound and take pictures stealthily. ^^
is that so?
The sound cannot be turned off on japanese phones...
I really think that japan need a lot more tousatsu... you know.. to help people like me ^^
Thats an interesting approach to candid photos, makes it look like voyeurism.
