Here's a pic of my HG 1/144 Sandrock Custom, still not finished though. I basically rebuilt all the joints to give it the posability of MG's and tweaked the design a lot. I'm now at the painting stage. Rear view Scratchbuilt hands Scratchbuilt hands Scratchbuilt shield Scratchbuilt weapons Knife scabbard Haruhi V-sign!!
hi-kick gundam pantsu
mind sharing how you custom the joints and which are the joints you custom??? currently i only know eldows and knees joints can replace by other spare parts, front skirt can be customise too which is not difficult, shoulder joints can be tricky depends on what you want but can take reference from gundam00, shoulder can move up, down, front n back. chest and waist customise is more difficult.
i see you did some customise for the head also...mind sharing??? i did a customise for a basic 144 kit and messed it up. threw away the kit and wasted alot of putty, time, sweat and not to mention injury!!!
Well to sum it all up: - The waist is jointed in 2 parts via ball joint. - The elbows are double jointed and can swivel in the biceps like MG kits. - The arms can swing forwards for the "fighting action" pose. - The thighs are also jointed in a similar fashion like the shoulders to give it 3 axes of movement. - The ankles are also double jointed to allow more movement.
man, I want to do that to my Astraea...
from what i see you did do alot of planing, careful sawing n not to mention fileing n sanding. alot of tools used. great job done. i think i understand how you do the waist with the ball joint. 1 question though, did you customise the back skirt as well???
P.S. I mostly did aesthetic changes to the head. I sharpened the V-fin antenna and I remodelled the face to look like the Destiny gundam's face.
