Back in January, DC Direct released the first two of their Ame-Comi Heroine Statues Series. Where DC girls got a manga style makeover. The first two to hit the shelves were Batgirl and Catwowan. These statues sold out like hotcake. And just last month they released Supergirl and Power Girl, which are selling fast. DC Direct plans to release more statues throughout the year: Upcoming heroines and villains are :Wonder Woman, Cheetah, Zatanna, Donna Troy, Poison Ivy and Hawk Girl. Here's a picture of one of my favorites Power Girl

if i knew about this i would have gotten supergirl.they should make a harley quinn figure
These figures are not as good looking as they appear in the pictures. I've seen them in person and compared to the figures that are coming out of Japan, this is an inferior product.
I'm surprised to hear that they're selling so well. My local comic store has so many that I figured they weren't doing very well at all.

That's pretty disappointing seeing as the concept/design is so nice. I was thinking about getting one too. Oh well.

About the best one I saw was batgirl (iirc) - but supergirl and power girl look poorly painted/finished when I saw them in my local comic shop.
It's hard to give them a second thought when they're lined up next to the latest Shining Wind figures. -_-

This figure and the catgirl one is the American figure makers trying to copy the beauty of the true anime figures...as expected, they failed horribly. They are better looking than the ugly non-anime-ish figures they already make but they definitely lack an artist's touch.
