I suppose to many of the regulars here at DC.com, it's no secret that I'm a photo otaku. I often will add photos as news items. Everyone has my promise that I will try to add photo I think will be of interest. I know Danny has talk about smoking in Japan before and how much it bugs him. Slowly things are starting to change, much to my pleasure as well. Here is a point of view from a Japanese man in Tokyo. I laugh because many of my Japanese photography friends are smokers and I'm starting to hear similar stories. Check out convexstyle flickr stream for his experience.
i could care less about people smoking, i just hate that "i don't care about anyone else around me while i light up a cigarette and blow out the smoke that everyone around me has to breathe" attitude. because it seems (from my experiences) that MOST smokers just light it up outside whenever they want and blow that disgusting crap all over the place that me, you and anyone else that may be around that person have to inhale. it's to my joy that there are lesser and lesser places for people to light up a cig, especially in restaurants.
