"Bonjiri" is a dish of Chicken ass. While I dont mind munching on the bottom of a 2D girl, munching on a chickens bottom is a no no for me. Its not only the Japanese that eat chicken ass but the Chinese too - not sure about other regions.
ever heard of fried chicken gizzards? hahaha I never ate it myself though
yum
Yum yum yum!!!
I actually think gizzards are good, but I 've never had them fried. Yum.
yum love it as well.
A Southern US favorite, so I've had them. Don't much care for them now though. And aren't those chicken asses really just chicken tails? My pop used to tell us "It's the part that goes over the fence last" and nobody would eat them, but I'm pretty sure they weren't actual rectum. Hey--it beats fish sperm sacs, if you ask me... What were those called again...
eww but I heard duck bottom is worse LOL (had a cousin who was conned into taking a bite out of one :P) and I can't stand chicken fat so never ate one ^^;
I remember eating a whole piece of a chicken leg before. It also came with it's little tail/butt, Lucky me. But I tried it, and well..., it isn't for me. You can taste alot of fat from the skin itself. Other then that, the chicken leg itself was great!
In terms of texture and taste, I'd say it's the best bit. I always go for it first before everything else.
Are you talkin about chicken or somethin else?
LOL!
Another LOL! ^^
LOL, I hope you're talking about chicken... Or else you might end up in jail...
LOL!!!
That's cute... Or maybe not.
I don't understand, is it the whole bottom of the chicken or the anus? I need an illustration or something. "I'll have the chicken wings and my wife will have the... chicken ass".
picture shows whole bottom including anus ^^; requires careful cleaning or you might taste some extra "flavouring" lol
lol that's nothing but chicken fat and skin. would do wonders to your cholesterol level...not. ^^; I know some folks who love eating these though. if you have a loved one who likes eating these, and you want them to save them by making them stop. just tell them that where the chicken does its number 2. ^^;
basically almost all Asian eat it not really special stuff anyway! They can eat the whole chicken up including their organs! Talking about the chicken ass, my cousin always snatch it first before any of my relatives lay their hands on it!
These are delicious, I can assure you ^^ Best when it's deep fried with flour, like those from KFCs, and dipped them with Thai sauce ^^ Yummy~
賛成! とってもうまいぞ! [i agree, so tasty!] really good stuff, try a few, you'd be surprised. if you're eating yakitori you'll probably end up eating some without even noticing anyway. :P
I have a personal policy on food that says: "you will try anything edible that people offer you and says it's delicious, as long as it's acceptable food". Doesn't mean I'm gonna like it too, but I'll at least try. I had my share of weird stuff... and some of them really were nice. But I don't like greasy stuff and fat...
Very popular here in Taiwan. It's called 七里香, "seven-miles fragrant," because it's supposed to be that tasty, and, well, they couldn't very well outright call it "chicken ass." I tried some after hearing it highly recommended, and while it was OK, it was indeed just fat and skin. I guess I shouldn't be surprised – sometimes it seems like the more fat and skin meat has on it, the more Taiwanese people like it.
Might even taste and smell like ass too...so no...
I'm more into pig organs
Strangely, my late grandma used to love chicken bottom. According to her it's the yummiest (and fattest) part! Even more strangely, a few years ago, there used to be this little takeaway shop in the city that sold deep fried chicken butts on a stick!! I remember seeing the ad they put in one of these free Asian newspapers and went, "what the--?!" I never tried it though.
My first 15 years of life I thought it was yuck to eat a chicken ass too but after I try it I have to eat it every time it avalible for me P.S I like it grill more than deep fried and yuck for boiled one
we eat it too, but I'd never take it...
If these are chicken bottoms, then I don't want to know what are those black spots on them XD
No thanks, I'll pass...
I've heard that eating chicken bottom can make you talkative... I dunno why though...
I have bad experiences with foreign objects in my mouth, so I never really tried to take a bite out of another life-form's waste-disposal route. It's supposed to be really great-tasting when fried though...
love it deep fried. now i'm hungry.
I think KFC use chicken bottoms for their "Popcorn Chicken".
i miss going to the night markets in malaysia and getting one of the RM1.00 chicken backside sticks from the street hawkers and eating it with chili sauce, together with a few chicken wings and hearts and gizzards :p
Chicken butt is actually suppose to be one of the tenderest parts of the chicken, or something to that effect; basically, good meat. Being Chinese and all, at family gatherings it's usually tossed in with the rest of the chicken for whatever dish and whoever gets it then they get it. Since there's only one butt per chicken, my family doesn't make dishes out of it. Personally, I've never thought of it as special.
Never like the chicken bottom, I just don't feel right to eat it, lol. But since like lots of ppl like it so much. =D
I've read that a few restaurants in Tokyo do raw chicken sashimi as well. At least back in 2001 they did. Apparently they didn't pump them full of hormones or anything, so the risk of salmonella was minimal at worst. Still, I don't know how much I'd want raw chicken sashimi.
I always grew up with my parents telling me to "Don't eat that part!" when we were eatting siew yook(roasted pork) and siew gnap(roast duck) because they were the butts of the animal. I remember them saying something like there's like, "poison"(literal translation from Cantonese is poison(dook=poison), I don't know how to put it in english...) in that part of the meat. We'd always put the butts in the bone pile which would soon be discarded.
The rest of my family likes to eat chicken feet, but I never really got into eating that.
bootylicious
Some people in Vietnam eat the chicken ass too.
not only we eat chicken's ass but also it's feet, intestines, its head and even its blood =3
too oily for my liking... its mostly fat so biting into one leaves a heavy greasy feeling in my mouth so never really` liked it...
