Heres a modeler that I found searching via multiply dot come. You can find his perfect grade mk.II pictures including his other works here One thing I found interesting was the way this guy creates the shading for his models, he first primes on a coat of what seems to be flat black paint, and then overlaps with white. A few of my fellow modelers either "postshade" or "preshade" their model kits. Preshading is shading in before the first coat of paint whereas postshading is applied after the first coat of paint. In a way, this is somewhat similar to preshading, but the results seem more pleasant and appealing when compared to just spraying on the panel lines. There are pictures of other works of gundam models and diorama's on the hobby japan page on multiply. Check it out, here
err...btw, im curious, what is the html code to hide the URL address, and just put in words like..."view it here"
Just enabled it - insert links like %%http://url_here.com,anchor_here%%
thank you thank you ^^ Im lovin this new member feature!!
The shading technique is called the Max Technique - named after the guy who popularized the technique - Max Watanabe. I'm currently working on IWSP Gundam using the same technique. Will post some pictures once done. %%http://www.keenix.com/inprogresspages/in-progress-max-technique.html,Here is the link to the page%% for some Max Technique tutorial
