Those who are interested in getting their hands on eroge in English can have a look at JAST who translate eroge into English. One of their latest titles was Lightning Warrior Raidy - images of the girls in action in the CG Gallery. I especially like the options in the bottom left screenshot - "look at the girl" or "talk with the girl" ^^; Which brings me to a question - for those who play eroge, where is you being getting a hold of them and what do you do about the language? I hear there are English patches that can be applied or something?

Wow, never been to that site before. Awesome stuff found there, however I'm a bit annoyed by some charging money, basically making a profit off someone else's work. I'm more surprised by the fact there are Mac and Linux versions too, which means I don't have to load up Fusion to run XP and play some of these.
It seems I misunderstood it, the actual games cost that much, but the translations are free. Never mind.
I found out about that site a year ago and thanks to them I kinda get to play jap games more often than before as I'm not constrained to english titles anymore. ^^ Problem about using ATLAS and atgh though is that the translations are a bit rough but you'd get the gist of it and I can't maximize the game window since I need to read the translation in another window.
I've seen cg sets for this game. Looks promising, though a bit one-sided. Nice to know fans are taking the effort to patch eroge for the English-reading

i get my eroges and visual novels from indie translation groups over the great interwebs who makes english patches and/or work straight from the code base ^^

There are a few Modders on the Hongfire forums that devote most of their time to translating eroge, in order to make english patches, they mostly just do Illusion eroge, but i did see other ones. they do great work, busy playing Artificial Girl 3 in english,except for the girls speech.. but i see there is a subtitle patch they have, that i might try. they even mod the game.. adding Hi Res textures, new clothes, cosplay on the girls.

There are places like Hongfire where they have torrents to games I believe. I just play Japanese versions since during the important part, stuffs they say are usually easy enough for me to understand >.> I don't usually sit thru and play most of the game, I download omake files to unlock CG/Memory mode and see the importants parts in the beginning.

The in-game animation is generally pretty, well now I remember, this eroge got me hooked on eroge, actually. Funny thing is, I still remember how I felt when seeing this http://www.g-collections.com/image/serve_002.jpg scene. ^^ I guess first time is always special, for most things. ^^

.....eroge is not really a thing I would enjoy since all they do is talk and have no knowledge in Japanese....if only I know Japanese...
I get most of my eroge from hongfire. I can read japanese and only need to check the dictionary now and then so I don't really bother with patches. Personally feel as much as possible materials should be gone through in their original language so you don't lose anything that translations don't handle so well. (eg puns)
I used to play eroge with agth and atlas, though I'm playing without them now. It's fun to learn kanji through a good eroge. ^^;
I don`t have must time for playing eroges, so usually get the CGs if there is one that interest me, in fact I have a good collection. I know, is not the same, plus without voices, but...

I personally don't mind the language. If it's japanese then I train my reading and recognizing skills (which sign, means what) I have SchoolMate in japanese and I handle the options for a date without difficulties. The only problem in playing japanese eroge, is that, that I don't get the (eventual) plot.
Don't most ero gaomes come with a skip text button so you don't have to tap. Usually control...I personally like the Tinkle Bell series. Check it out Danny if you haven't already. Yami Maid has to be the best of their products! Check out their site. Its amazing.

As long as it's a voiced game it's not too hard to stumble through it. Plus, play enough and you start to recognize words and predict meaning of sentences from the words you do know. Well... after eight or so years you end up picking up some Japanese whether you want to or not.
The artwork seems intersting. Plus, the main character is a girl and there are some RPGish elements to it.. Doubt that this will ever make it into my country (customs will not allow pr0n material into my country since due to Malaysia being a county with Islam as its state religion - no offense to the Muslims here).
