One of the things that is on the increase in Akiba is the amount of TV camera crews who can be seen here and there filming stuff that seems strange to them but normal for us - more pics from yesterday at Akiba Blog. UPDATE: Posting link to AkibaMap who also has photos from yesterday but you can actually see faces. On a different subject related to the photos, the Japanese Portrait Rights are being taken to the extreme - soon we wont be able to see faces of any kind on Japanese blogs at all...
Otakus are weird? You want to know what's strange? Normal people, yep that's right. I think we should create our own "race", one that is filled with otakus only. Whose with me? We'll show faces all over too without censorship. Wait, wouldn't it be hilarious if the censorship started applying to faces of anime characters? >.>

Eventually, every photo placed on a blog will be censored to protect the rights of everything. "Uh oh, an ant was in the picture, censor it. Oh noes! That piece of paper could sue us for such focus on it, block it out!"
isnt there some sort of software program to repatch the correct resolution pixels and whatnot?
if you mean to remove mosaics then probably not.
you watch too much CSI and FBI movies... i guess there are s/w that can reconstruct mosaic pictures by estimating the colors....but then again thats up too how rough the mosaic is..
for images i don't think there is one...but for videos there are hardware based solutions to that but they only work up to a certain extent. ^^

usually when the media gets involved, things like this tend to go overboard... i guess the normal folk are just camera shy and are using this as an excuse to not have their ugly mug plastered on tv or the net...
Mirai is so cute in the new pose... Anyways, that's my dream job, nowadays. Being able to go to Akiba and make articles about the strange new trends and musings. Only it wouldn't be strange to me.
Whats wrong with the media? DOn't they know that this has to be best part of ambition in otakus.
