Looks like the DVD version of To Love-Ru is going to have Lala-chan running around showing her bare pupils from the looks of these coloring diagrams found by New Akiba. Just wondering how many of you go out and buy the DVD even though you have an open source version? One of the ironic things is that the open source version these days come in full HD beating DVD quality. I guess this is why they include uncensored scened in DVDs. If it's simply a sign of generosity, then truth should be that many are generous. I mean, anime publishers make billions of yen from dvd sales (well, info from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Factory though) In the end, it remains questionable whether internet piracy deals real damage to sales. Or maybe I'm just justifying myself. ^^

If I had the the whole time in the world, and the money then I'd get it! Talking about Uncensored DVD, anyone heard of the new upcoming uncensored, unedited One Piece DVD? All of Season 1, definetly getting it!
i don't get it.. if the broadcast version is censored so that young children who watches it don't get funny ideas... what makes one think they won't have access to the DVDs...
because the parents pay for TV, but not for the DVDs, not all kids are loaded with monies. besides, shows like ToLoveRu air late at night (need confirmation on this), so the younglings are already asleep by then.
well, if you just wait a while the DVDs also get the open source treatment. but real fans should buy the DVDs to support the anime studios as they make almost no money from just airing it on TV. that aside, i will NOT be buying DVDs for cheap generic harem comedy, even if nipples are included.
*sigh* The release for that DVD will be in July; same month as CLANNAD last DVD. Guess I have to wait a while longer.
hmm non steamy eyes for dolphin care..:D there are so many ways of getting stuff on the internet... the dvds will come this way as well.. since some anime doesn't make it to other contries so some anime.. subs are the only way to go... :<
Very nice indeed. I would buy the DVD, if I really liked it. Same as I do to movies, even though movies I usually rent or go to the movies to watch them. But the ones I really like, I always end up buying the DVD. I don't usually watch them again and again, but it's more like a "give support to things I like" thing than anything else. That and to watch with friends. You know, bring more people to the dark side of the force. At least for me, this is what the future reserves for movies and animation: Getting honest profit with people who appreciate what's been done. Also, I think this is the way it should've been done from start. Piracy nowadays is only a response to bad practices that the movie and music industry made. I never bought the fact that some unknown artists, even talentless ones sometimes, became millionaires instantly on record sales only. It has pretty much become a standard nowadays, but at least for me, this isn't right. The result of that is piracy, and a saturated market with tons of people wanting to be the next big hit, with tons of talentless people trying to get a bite on the cake too. That goes to most stuff that today has some sort of piracy... from ultra-expensive brand-names, to movies, games and music. But I digress.

Smart move; not only will hardcore fans get to revel in the best moments for ever, it also prevents the anime from getting slotted in the "adult timeslot" permanently. Good laffs should be shared.

I was able to d/l the first ep of Trouble (or To-Love-Ru) last week but haven't had the time to watch it yet (also got Soul Eater, Blassreiter and Druaga to watch and see which new anime series to follow, too).
This is why I always wait until the uncensored version of animes come out before I watch them online. Speaking of uncensored DVD, this reminds me of both the 1st season of Girls Bravo (DVD was uncensored. Strangly, 2nd season was uncensored on TV...) & when the To-Love-Ru manga got uncensored when it was a stand-alone manga instead being in Shonen Jump. Hey, is her crotch censored in that pic? Perhaps they drew her "correctly".....SOMEONE UNCENSOR THAT PIC! NOW!!!

If anime was released on Blu-Ray I would gladly buy it...or so I'd like to say--but most anime companies in North America would probably want over $100 for a 3 episode Blu-Ray. >.> There is a very good reason there is so much anime piracy.
