One of the most interesting Flash movies that I have seen - would love a mirai version! Check it out via Dark Mirage. How the hell do I save this to my HD?!

I was able to save the swf file using firefox by going to tools>page info>media and selecting the swf file and selecting save as. Couldn't get the file to work for me when I opened it up in firefox though.

same problem. The .swf only applies to the background, not the actual face. that part is actually two more files that contain the face's data and parameters. Search rapidshare for "haruhi512" and u should land yourself the needed files. however, i still havent figured out how to combine the three files into a working html code. been trying to figure this out for the entire day and havent gotten anywhere. u can also just write a script that links to the orginal site, save it as html and use active desktop to make it your background. but that doesnt work without internet. ;^^ much help for this would be highly appreciated.

I think I figured it out. There's another file in a subdirectory that contains the image data (original/FaceData.swf). You need to save that one locally in addition to haruhi512.swf. See also my post over at animesuki. http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?p=1173859#post1173859

When I want to download a flash movie, I just type "about:cache" on the firefox adress bar and you just look for what you want. If there are too may things, just delete the cache, and load just the page with the swf you want.

I believe that Mikuru and Nagato version will also up since on this page http://b.bngi-channel.jp/psp-haruhi/sos.html There are two slot empty with "Coming Soon" words on it. And that flash animation Haruhi is watching you is also a part of Haruhi PSP game, which serves as screen savers :D

Hey guys, is it not possible to make this a wallpaper on vista? I've read one place that said you can't do it with the same way as the other OS. I've looked it up and the closest I felt I was gonna get to was with a program called Sparkle SWF Desktop. However that refuses to cooperate also. Think anyone can give me a hand? I'm too much of a noob for this >_<
