Well due to the airgun firing and Ms Wide Open causing a ruckus in Akiba, a new group called the Akihabara Peace Keeping Community has been formed to help rid the sacred land of evil doings. Not sure how serious they are and what guidelines they have but not-so-good-looking men dressed up as Haruhi are considered an offense as you can see from this picture found on their image board - the image board is used to post photo evidence of those who want to destroy Akiba.
Danny, you should try dressing up like that instead of your normal Storm Trooper get-up. =D

Couldn't these guys be a bit more creative. The obvious counterparts to every chick is a dude. Like Kyon > Haruhi or Saito > Louise. (Or something like that, I guess.) If anything at least be equipped with a killer harisen. Now that'd be cool.

No, I guess the peace-keeping group and the (really bad) Haruhi cross-dressing cosplayers are different species all over. I made the same mistake as you (see above for more). The only link is that the Haruhi cosplayers featured in this mini-post are the ones on the wanted list of the peace-keepers. That was confusing, I agree. ^^
Oookay... Now I feel dumb... But now, I feel relieved coz' now I know that the people protecting the peace of Akihabara do not look like the "pretty" Haruhi in the picture...

Most ppl will agree that this isn’t the best Haruhi cosplay. Although that kind of anonymous public denounce towards an individual could end really bad. Hope a self-proclaimed kira-sama doesn’t appear.
I'm fine and dandy with this; really, despite what you might see above in my other comments, I'm fine with it. As long as they don't disturb others; if not, I'd start handing out Spartan Lasers to those peacekeepers.
