Usually play a mixture of games during lunch in the pub while in uni. Lucky Star characters would probably distract too much whilst playing, especially Kagami. Would have to play with traditional looking cards.
was a Yu-Gi-O card player that once won up to 3rd national tornoment, get the rare obelisk card. And magic the gathering, no much luck on this one. Not retired and still thinking of how to get rid of the cards

I play cards once in a while, would get those lucky star cards :D. I still play the Pokemon TCG too, as a matter of fact I run one of the leagues in California. The way Pokemon is looking in the US though I don't know how much longer it will be running =/. Every since Nintendo gave the Pokemon license to Pokemon U.S.A. and let them run it on their own things have been going downhill.

It's a must get! Well, in terms of cards, if you are talking about the usual ones, I don't gamble at all... For me, casinos and more or less illegal home business is not my cup of tea... Though I'd always be ready to play 13 cards (I can't find the actual term of this game, but it is optimally played with four people and it is close, but not Bridge). If you're talking about trading cards, I have followed the Yu-Gi-Oh! craze at a time. I do own lots of cards, but remain at the novice level (spent relatively nothing compared to the pros)... My sole objective was to have a decent deck with alternatives (combos and game structure is what I love the most... It has become too complex and cheap with time). My gem is an Ultimate Sky Scourge Norleras 1st Edition, in mint condition (which I acquired in the most simple way... Buying boosters and hoping, again and again). ^^

Ara ara!! Cuteness!! I wish this stuff was sold on ebay in the UK... :sob: Anyways, card games... hmmm, well other than Pokemon, trying to play Digimon, and suceeding in playing Yugioh. Not much in the way of card games. There was a brief time last year where I went out and bought loads of new Pokemon cards and went to the weekly club. But that fizzled out due to creepy people... *shudders* I've never considered myself normal as such... but these people were just.... freakier than me lol. Then again... now I find myself spending £20-40($40-80(4000-8000yen?)) on plastic models of girls.... how can we define freaky? lol I love loving anime/manga/japan etc. It rocks sooooo much!

Nah, I'm sure they all have their own illustrations... Usually if it was only about the figures (J to K or A), that would be understandable, but you can see that it is the full Diamond family here. Why putting 15 cards (including the Jokers) with illustrations and leaving all the rest blank? That would be a dumb move from the makers, if it was like that, no? ^^

I'd really like those cards, but wouldn't play with them, never ever! Same way I have a deck of cards from Digi Charat, properly sealed and away from greasy or drunk hands. Anyways, I play Texas Hold'em Poker some weekends with friends. No money involved, just for fun. Loosers get to play Guitar Hero! :P Oh, I also played stuff like Magic and Spellfire, and also collected Marvel cards once. And I do have some few collectible cards.... Chobits and Cowboy Bebop if I remember correctly.

I don't normally play regular Deck-o-card card games. A few CCGs and TCGs are more my style. In fact, trying to re-write the old Ani-mayhem CCG into a playable TCG. No actual production mind you. Just fan rules :(

Is it that common to jump between Japanese and English on TV? Or is it just this one guy? The cards are neat. A few years ago I got a Tenchi Muyo card set at GenCon. I would have liked to get it free, though.
