Hatsune Mickey

Hatsune Mickey
One of Disneys new characters on some show called Fire Ball.
Looks like its Disneys turn to steal character designs -> Hatsune Miku. Check out the pose and the way the legs are done too.

i can see the similarities but lets face it, twintails are a hot design item for character creation these days. something to do with all those loli-lovers. I was thinking of XJ9 as i saw that pic, but thats another studio.

I agree; I see more XJ9 in that design than Miku. Then again, most designs with pigtailed characters all look the same to me. ^_^;

Does have some similarities, but it might be coincidental. Or maybe they used Hatsune as a reference.

she looks similar to hatsune miku but it doesn't look like she's a ripoff of her, it looks more like she was just based on the same moe cliches that hatsune miku was. if it wasn't for the long tails and the pose there'd really be no similarity at all.

personally i think she looks totally awesome, like a loli version of takahashi ft, and it'll be a real crime if someone doesn't do an articulated figure of her.

While saying that she just has the twintails and that's it, I believe that comparing both girls' silouttes (sp?) makes it pretty obvious that it's a clone.

Specially because right now Miku's so big that anyone would know to avoid a similar design because everyone will see as a copy and paste.

They look dang too similar to be a mere coincidence.
To elaborate on that:
Fire Ball's character = Hatsune Miku's twintails and pose Plus Roll's (Megaman) legs and dress Plus Candy's (The King of Fighters 2000) face.
Original? Don't make me laugh.
And I hope it's not a robotic pantsu I spot here.

Suing them won't do anything since Fireball, as similar as she is to the characters, is still an "original" design. Unless she has a SD Version that wields a leek and dances to Levan Polka. >_<

Disney is like the evil empire of animation. I really wish studio Ghibli wouldn't have partnered with them for DVD's.

ive been ANTI-Disney for years they never come up with there own stuf and just duplicate others ideas just to claim as thir own and the last thing we need is them trying to take over the anime markets in japan or annywhere to be honest i mean look at the finding nemo case disney pretty much tried to sue the origial author theyve done it to one of my favorite shows bubu-chacha and copied the design of chacha and put it on a smartass racing car "lighning" McQueen from "thier" film cars.

Oh you know, they have made their own interpretation of fairy tales but Charles Perrault, the Grimm Brothers, Andersen and many, many others are long way dead already. If they were to be living nowadays and knowing about intellectual property and the art of suing, there would have been pretty trials. ^^
